They are great as a snack at work or at school. I made these with only 4 ingredients (didn’t count the salt) with sesame seeds as a main ingredient.

I enjoy creating traditional desserts in a healthier way. And I especially enjoy it when I create something that everyone is delighted with. This raw lemon tart with almonds and buckwheat is something that my dad my daughter and I couldn’t stop eating and I tought: 'Tina, you surpassed yourself.' But then at the end, my mother-in-law said, 'Tina, this is your best cake ever.' And when your mother-in-law is praising, what else is there to say. 😊

This version, unlike the traditional recipe, contains no flour, gluten, sugar, eggs and butter (except coconut). To be precise, it is vegan or if you like it more when I say: 100% plant based dessert. 💚

In my country the season of wild asparagus just started. Did you know that you can eat them raw? I think that the best recipes are the one that are easy to make. So this time I decided to serve asparagus in a salad which I enriched with avocado, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds in order to get a complete meal.

Use just the top parts of asparagus. Did you know that asparagus is used as aphrodisiac in the old times of the Arabs and old Greeks. Kama Sutra also recommends paste made from wild asparagus (shatavari), and the French served it in the nineteenth century to grooms for dinner. Since avocado is also on the list of top 10 natural aphrodisiacs, it seems that I have (un)consciously prepared a salad for lovers. 😍

Salad with root vegetables and horseradish dressing // In my country, horseradish is eaten only around Easter. Why? Probably because we don’t have the idea what could we eat it with. It would be a shame to ignore such a special plant, which can be bought fresh throughout the whole year.

When the colds and clogged sinuses season starts, one of best things to do is to grab a horseradish. Sometimes, when I don’t have time to prepare this dressing, I simply grate the horseradish on top of the salad and transform my 'ordinary' salad into a special, delicious dish that make a huge relief for your sinuses.

I find it very interesting that the first mention of the horseradish in history was recorded in ancient Egypt about 1,500 BC. It is especially interesting that, according to Greek mythology, the weight of horseradish was equal to the same weight of gold. It was used by the Romans, and in the Middle Ages they used it for healing purposes. Troughout the centuries it has spread to the whole world. Today, horseradish is often used as substitute to wasabi in Japan. Throughout history it is used both as a spice and as a vegetable and as a medicine.

Raw cauliflower risotto with golden curry sauce // I recently received a mail informing me that I entered into finals of selection of food blogger of the year at our local croatian food website.

For the duel in the finals, I got the task to prepare something with the curry. I immediately got the idea of this meal in my head. The idea has been put into action so you can enjoy this recipe without cooking, and with nice oriental flavor.

I know that cauliflower risotto is a classical oxymoron (because risotto is made of rice, of course), but it's the only name I could use to give you an idea of what kind of meal it is. The cauliflower cut into small pieces (like rice) gives a logical name = cauliflower risotto. Doesn’t it? 😊

Although I didn’t win in the finals, from the whole story remained this wonderful recipe.

I'm sure much more people would like the Isabella grapes if they just knew the right ‘eating technique’. Recently, my friend, Lena and I agreed that we both apply this special technique and that’s the reason why we love it. .
You don’t need to learn this technique, because I prepared the recipe for this simple creamy cake in order to enjoy this grape’s flavor. It’s so very special and it is one of the main flavors of autumn. The aroma of Isabella remains, and the skins and pits disappear under the blades of the blender, so the joy is complete.

My mom learned how to cook very late, to be precise when she got married. Although I started cooking when I was nine, because I really liked it, I often remember her words when preparing food: "Cooking becomes fun when you start preparing food through colors." In her case, it meant: I don’t like to cook, but if take a little red, slightly orange, little green, your life becomes joyful, and cooking is a fun. ❤️ This story has a lot to do with this cake because I got the inspiration for the recipe thanks to an orange butternut squash.
