I seriously just adore the natural beauty of the sand dunes!
We had just had an afternoon of chasing storm clouds so I honestly was not expecting much of a sunset, but for just the briefest of minutes, we got some gorgeous golden afternoon light as the sun managed to peak through the clouds. No time to set up, no tripod, no filters, just a good old fashioned handheld, bracketed focus stack..(whilst sitting on sinking sand 😂) This moment was so fleeting, and the thrill of chasing the light is seriously my favorite thing to do 💕 #sunset#Australia#seeaustralia#canon
Had a crazy afternoon at the dunes yesterday! Started off with some insane storm clouds over the dunes! It wasn’t long until the strong winds hit us, and sand was pelting at us from every direction! We soon realised we accidentally left our bags open and our gear had been filled with sand! 🤦🏼♀️ Not much we could do though, so we kept shooting in the harsh conditions until the sun began to set. Somehow, even with the storm clouds we managed to get a gap and had some gorgeous warm afternoon light. Once finished shooting sunset I then realised my phone was missing! So had to scrambled back through the dunes before we lost the light to try and find it! Luckily I was able to retrace my footprints to find my phone covered In sand, and could just see the glittery phone case shining through 😂 We then decided to call it a day and made our way back to the car only to get rained on during the trek, and of course I was wearing the wrong shoes to be walking through mud 💁🏼♀️ but hey, had an epic time and wouldn’t have had it any other way! 😄
Here’s to even more adventures and even more of the little moments that make these trips even more memorable 💙 #australia#seeaustralia#stormchasing
Just had another epic weekend away with the crew, and whilst we didn’t get the best light while we were there, we definitely had the best time! Cheers for all the laughs guys! Makes these photos even more memorable! 😄@avi_photography @_jeremyherbert_ @sshekhar_ @paulaphotography_ #australia#seeaustralia
When the earth looks just like a painting! 🎨
I’ve only had my drone for a few days now but I’m already obsessed! I just love that it gives you access to places you may not be able to reach by foot and a whole new view of the world! 🌏💙#drone#dji#djimavicpro#australia#seeaustralia
So this morning whilst I was shooting sunrise, a lovely man came up to me and said, “you’re not the typical photographer we see around here, very glad to see you’re breaking the stereotype!”
Once he left though, it got me thinking, why is there a stereotype with landscape Photographers? I feel like gender literally has zero to do with someone’s ability to Photograph. For some reason it is definitely a male dominated industry and whilst I have no problems with that, I would love to see some more females out there too! So here’s to breaking stereotypes, but I actually hope that one day soon we won’t have a stereotype to break 💪🏾📸
So it has been a crazy and scary weekend. My home town of Menai has been under threat of pretty severe bushfires that have been spreading very quickly over the past couple of days.
Thankfully, we are all safe and over 500 incredible RFS workers and volunteers have been working around the clock to save thousands of lives and homes in the area. I am incredibly proud to be apart of a community that has come together to help so much in this time of need. Hundreds of people donating time, food, drinks and even their houses to those battling the fires and those affected by them.
Whilst we are still on alert and the fires are still out of control, I couldn’t be more grateful that everyone is safe at the moment. Hoping for the best outcome for everyone over the next few days in the battle to get this fire under control ❤️
