I know I post this picture all the time, but it's my favorite and probably always will be. Today's Harry's 8th birthday, and though I'm obviously mourning the fact he's getting older, I can't help but get emotional over the fact that this is the animal that changed my life/ ideologies when it comes to animals. Y'all are probably like "Sara, it's a dogs birthday, please stop, no one cares." so I will stop, but anyways I love him and will be giving him the largest slice of cake and nice walk tonight!!
two years ago my mom and I saw this one running around temple streets in desperate need of food and some TLC. we were supposed to grab her off the streets and then find her a home, but you can guess how that one turned out. happy two year to the queen- the rudest, most ungrateful cat there ever was- I love you, Ramona, Mona, Momma, Momma Mia 💓 #ADOPTDONTSHOP#gotchaday
Yesterday marked two official years with my bff, wow! Time flies when you spend it with someone this special. (Celebrated by going to Vedge and it definitely lived up to the hype. Enjoy some low quality food pictures that needed to be shared). Anyways, here's to many more years of this. Cool!
Happy #internationalwomensday to everyone. There are a lot of things I told myself I couldn't do, and guess what? I did almost all of them. Women are strong as hell and I'm so thankful to know so many who influence me to be the best version of myself. Here's to a lifetime of self love, empowerment, career advancements, and proving myself wrong. Remember to keep your values intersectional today and everyday.
I've been talking about how I've wanted to do DNA tests on Rog since we got him because he honestly just looks like a shaggy lab! For my birthday, Ben got me a test to do on him and I am so surprised! I thought he was just retriever genes. It's safe to say Roger's mannerisms and behaviors make a lot more sense now. I'm also so excited that he's not at risk or a carrier of any of genetic diseases they test for! Swipe to see what breeds my favorite mutt is :-)
Remember that time I fostered a cat who was so sick it was recommended he be put down, nursed him back to health after his dental extraction, and worked to find him a home for months only for my mom and brother to fall in love and decide we're keeping him- and now he walks around our house like he owns the place. He was on the streets in north philly for years so now he just sleeps in the warmest places he can find and begs for food constantly... guess I can't blame him. Past 7 months have been a lot for our old man face cat, toothless tom. #adoptdontshop
Love The Wonder Years and I'm so grateful I had the chance to see them last night. Thankful to have a band that's been with me for so long at this point. Also thankful to have a band that loves Philly as much as we do. (Peep the videos for some quality Eagles content 🦅)
