Converting @tommycaldwell’s van into a rolling home has been a dream come true. Long shop days and nights, frequent trips to Home Depot, sketching plans and marking them up inside, and doing everything by hand can be tedious work, especially as a one-man show. But then I see it all come together, and it makes it all worthwhile. 📷 @imnotagingerdamnit
Living vicariously through all the people I’ve built vans for in the past year. I’ve watched those vans go all over the west, visiting some of the coolest locations. For now, I work and watch from a distance, but one day, I’ll be there. 📷 @shevanigans_
We’re thrilled to be working with @noel_russ to create her dream home on wheels! Tune into @tinyhousetinyfootprint’s podcast (link in her bio) to learn more about how Noel is planning on building out her next van! 📷 @noel_russ
One year ago today I started building my first van in San Francisco. I had no idea where this road would take me and I would never have guessed that it would have brought me here. This past year has been exciting, busy, surprising, and stressful at times but I’m so glad I took the chance with this business. Build number seven kicks off today on @tommycaldwell brand new 4x4 sprinter 170 and I couldn’t be more stoked. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and pushed me when I needed it, couldn’t have done it without you.
Just finished some woodwork on @tommycaldwell's 2007 Dodge Sprinter 2500. This van has seen so many rock faces. It's even been home to a bear in Yosemite who climbed inside to hang out in the kitchen space. Now it's got some new finishing including some tongue and groove, window wells, trim, and new cabinet doors and frame.
