Going to the gym and just being active can help in so many ways - physically, mentally and emotionally. The hardest part is getting started.

I have been going to the gym consistently 5 days a week since Oct 2017. Before that I was active but I definitely wasn’t consistent. Going to the gym has become such an integrated part of my day that I feel like I’m missing something if I didn’t go. I mean I’m even so motivated to workout on vacation! (Who thinks that’s crazy!?). •
It takes time, it takes effort, and it’s hard work but taking care of yourself physically and mentally is the best thing you can do.  Start off slow, commit to going 2-3 days a week and keeping a journal of how you feel. Find a buddy to keep you accountable or join a workout group. Your health is so important! (Okay mini rant over)

2nd workout of the day, and ⭐️I did my first toes to bar!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Might not seem like much but I was surprised and proud that I did it. I set that as a goal to be able to do them and I can finally say I can! maybe not many all at the same time but I CAN do it!

Don’t short yourself on not going through the ENTIRE range of motion. If you can’t do the full ROM best to drop the weight!

Not going through full ROM does not allow your muscles to reach their potential and you hurt your joints. ROM helps maintain joint mobility and stability, important functions in weight lifting.  Lack of ROM can cause atrophy (shortening) of muscles that aren’t used causing instability.

Practice full ROM with decreased weight and then slowly increase the weight back up!
