This morning I read about these Redwoods in Muir Wood in the US. Walking through them, Every now and then you encounter a dead looking redwood ... a stump or charred trunk... but around this dead redwood was a circle of strong new redwoods... a circle of new life dancing around the scars of past traumas. Apparently while the original tree trunk may have died, its roots underground spring up new trees all around it. Seemed like such a beautiful metaphor for life and resilience.
