Here is my enhanced Stormtrooper mosaic! I had this mosaic made last year but I got the idea a few months ago to absolutely greeble the face of it. Feel free to zoom! It’s a marvel to see in real life. It looks very 3D and I’m immensely proud of it. I’m considering doing commissioned work (including more of these or possibly bigger) for these type of greebled mosaics. I threw in some different Star Wars tropes, to give it a sort of Death Star trench look.
Some other goodies from my display - I showed all of these on my story before, but here are my “Brick Sodas”! The white is the fizz. (I didn’t have enough black so I had to put in the white way lower, and I kept in all the yellow because it just looked better haha.)
UCS Darth Maul from 2001 - part of my display. I digitally built the bulk of the set with Pick-A-Brick wall parts (and a few other pieces I ordered from BrickLink). It contains more pieces than the original set, but they are easier/cheaper to get than the original pieces used. The inside is different, but it achieves the same outside product as the original set from ‘01.
[SWIPE] #BrickUniverseRaleigh Part 3! My display continued. All Star Wars this time. Slide 1 is my modified Force Awakens Millennium Falcon. 2 is my revamped Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle. 3 is of my Microfighter MOCs (2 of them are sets). 4 is the regular TIE Fighter and my extended First Order Transporter. 5 is my bulked up AT-M6 (which came out quite nice!). 6 is a little diorama MOC of mine with a little walker MOC. 7 and 8 are my Buildables, completely revamped.
[SWIPE] BrickUniverse Raleigh Part 2! My display continued. Slide 1 is my massive city with dozens of different scene. Slides 2 and 3 are of my revamped Ninjago Airjitzu Temple. Very happy with the turnout. Slide 4 is my Batman setup with the Tumbler set, and my own version of the Bat-Pod, as well as a bunch of small Batman stuff. My album of prints is pictured too. More posts coming soon!
[SWIPE] BrickUniverse Raleigh! Part 1 of my display. My mantra for this year was go big or go home. So naturally, I went big. I pulled the biggest display I’ve ever done. Slide 1 is my massive Bionicle setup. Slides 2 and 3 are my self MOC duo, Saviant (not to be confused with the big guy) and Rephyk. Slide 4 is my mega-MOC Saviant, winner of Best Bionicle in BU Dallas. Slides 5, 6, and 7 are my smaller Bionicle MOCs and my Technic contraptions. Slide 8 is of my own robot design, Bot, and his variations. Slide 9 is my Mini Modular City (which I won Best Micro for) and my smaller contraptions.
Thanks for reading!
[SWIPE] BrickUniverse Raleigh 2018 Haul! I had an amazing time. I got a handful of minifigs from the convention, as well as some light bricks from a vendor there. I got the Holo Darth Vader Dorbz and Iron Man Hot Toys Cosbaby (which I didn’t even know they had) from the Disney Store in the mall near the Convention Center. Grabbed a clearanced Black Series Executioner from a very cool Target (it was literally in a parking garage, and very quiet inside, giving me a break from the loudness of the convention). I also found a minifig in our hotel room! I guess we were meant to stay in that one specific room. Did some mini builds at the con that I was able to take home. I had some extra little sets, but I gave them to random kids in the crowd. Finally, as we were leaving Raleigh on Monday, we stopped at a nearby Walmart and scored on some good sales/clearance.
Raleigh was a great trip and I’m thrilled to have experienced it. A big thank you to the BrickUniverse (@brickuniverseofficial) crew for hosting such an awesome event. I also won Best Micro for my Mini-Modular City, to go with my other three Best Bionicle. This is my 5th LEGO con and I can’t wait for what the future holds!
Phew! It’s been nearly a month since I last posted. As I type I lay in my hotel room in Raleigh, North Carolina for #BrickUniverse . Everything is all packed up ready to be set-up tomorrow! I can’t wait to see all the builds by my fellow exhibitors, and to see all of my setup finally together. I’ll be posting a lot to my story tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday so be sure to tune in! I’ll possibly be doing a livestream as well on Saturday. Goodnight!
It’s that time of year again - I’m proud to officially announce that I will be attending and displaying at BrickUniverse (@brickuniverseofficial) Raleigh, North Carolina!
I’ll be there for my third year with new builds like my Ninjago Airjitzu Temple diorama, my revamped Stormtrooper mosaic, my modded AT-M6, a nearly complete Bionicle collection and more. My old stuff will return, such as my massive city block packed with minifigures, my mega-MOC Saviant, my Batman and Star Wars mosaics, and more as well. Hopefully I’ll meet some of you guys there, as well as some new faces!
