Washington, DC with my Lauren. I am so incredibly happy to be this sweet girl’s mom. From her tears at the Vietnam Memorial to her complete adoration of Martin Luther King, Jr’s words, to her goofy little jokes with her friends—I’m just so in love with this little human. I worry about her all the time, I think because Lauren is my first child and I’m always afraid I’m gonna screw her up. (I screw up a lot.) Getting to spend this weekend with her around her friends and classmates helped me relax. She’s gonna be just fine.
Last Tuesday my mom called at 2pm and asked if I wanted to go to The Eagles concert that night. Easy decision. My favorite part of this clip is hearing my mom sing 🎶Let somebody love you🎶 (Sorry for all the swaying. I was trying to not be too obvious about videoing 😬)
We rearranged Ella’s room and switched out her twin bed for a full one while my parents took the girls to lunch today—just posting this here so everyone can refer to it when you need to see something happy.
