I used to have various different suits of armour that I thought protected me from harm. “I don’t give a fuck” armour “I can do what I want” armour “I know what I’m doing” armour “If I just try harder” armour “I will just love them harder” armour “I will be useful” armour
And so on - you get the picture.
Well, none of those or any other armours are necessary when you are truly committed to self care.
When self care is always activated, it’s like having a filter on what you will allow into your life or not, so that only those relationships or situations that do not threaten your wellbeing are allowed through.
Self care is your own personal safe zone.
With self care, comes self respect.
The more I have cared for myself, the more I have come to know and value myself.

What is your interpretation of this image?
I have plenty of Musings about the archetypes of the Wild Woman, the Warrior and the Lover and thought I’ve shared some occasionally there is still some reticence on my part to invite you to walk down that path with me...why? Perhaps I am still carrying some shame or guilt around sexuality and am worried about being provocative.
Well perhaps I should let that go, what do you think?
Tuesday is ruled by Mars and naturally gets me thinking of what attributes men may have to embody the archetype of the Warrior... this also gets me thinking about how it feels as a woman to be in the presence of such a man... it’s delicious not to be pressured to diminish one’s own wild nature.
A Warrior is not intimidated by a Wild Woman; he is in awe of her.
The Divine Masculine must be balanced with the powerful Divine Feminine that has been growing in power for some time now; the Goddess has been restored and it is time she had a worthy consort.

This week’s healing oracle card reading coincides with the New Moon in Aries.

Thursday 19th April: waxing Moon in Gemini. Take your time with decisions and plans as it may be that you change your mind several times - saying “yes” to something when Luna is in social Gemini could backfire if you later decide you don’t fancy it.
Saturday 21st April: waxing Moon in Cancer. Do you feel the call of home, friends/family? Quiet time in comfort? Your heart needs to reconnect to its anchors.

Happy Day of the Goddess!
Friday 13th is not unlucky.
It’s actually a day that is sacred to the Goddess.
Friday is ruled by Venus and the number 13 is aligned with there being 13 moons in a year, in synch with the sacred menstrual cycle of women.
I have drawn two cards from the Goddess Oracle today and the messages are wonderful.
In short, all will be well. Have faith and be at peace.
Eireen was a Greek Goddess whose sisters were Lawfulness and Justice (see the synchronicity with the message from Maat?); she was known as Pax by the Romans, which means peace. Call upon her to replace worry with peace. She says that all is unfolding according to the higher plan that is at work - you are safe in the arms of the Divine. Let your sense of gratitude swell. You are completely supported and carried.
Maat was the Egyptian goddess of integrity, fairness and justice. Her message is to trust in the wisdom of the whole - the eventual outcome. Release attachment to what that outcome might look like and this will ensure a peaceful outcome. In disputes, attacks stem from a fear of not receiving a fair share but this amplifies the hurt and pain. Surrender and be at peace. Hold a firm vision of a peaceful outcome and watch the pieces fall harmoniously into place. You are protected in business and personal relationships.

Who else has been feeling a little discombobulated??? How the Duchess in Alice in Wonderland talks is kind of how my brain has been feeling - all scrambled!
It’s as if we’ve been pulled apart and are in the process of being put back together again and though our components will be the same, we won’t BE the same after this process. “Who are YOU?” Said the caterpillar to Alice. “I’m not the same person as I was yesterday” said Alice.
This is how I feel today. During this Mercury Retrograde I’ve been feeling big cosmic shifts happening at night - has anyone else been waking up at midnight and 4am? After intense vivid dreams? I have. This tells me that there is a sorting out going on at a subconscious level.
Well, I look forward to this Spring clean being over!
