It’s OFFICIAL. I’m moving back to Florida!!! I never thought those words we come out of my mouth. I left Florida 8 years ago with a desire to explore new states and find my new home 🏠
As much as I was ready to leave:
😳 I was scared. Why? Florida was all I ever known.
🤮 I had this uneasy feeling that it would be really hard to make new friends.
😬 I was nervous that my warm Florida blood would not be able to handle it.
I never imagined 2 states and 8 years later how moving was one of the best risk I’ve ever taken.
✔️ I was able to experience all 4 seasons ☀️❄️🍁🌸 ✔️ I was able to live in midtown Atlanta and downtown Denver and be in walking distance to everything 🤩😍😎 ✔️The friendships I made! Ahhhh 😊 I feel super blessed and full that I was able to make some EPIC memories with some of the MOST AMAZING people that I’m lucky to call them family.
Florida will be our temporary home ... but right now in this moment... I want to focus ALL my attention on getting ready to marry 👰🏽💍🤵🏼 my best friend in 27 Days and waking up next to my sexy boo boo bear after 8 long years of long distance.
What has been you favorite thing about moving?
We all want the light at the end of the risk tunnel, but, nobody talks about what’s in the tunnel. Why? Because it is a dark, scary tunnel! 🙀 ✨
It’s also the only way to get to the light. We need to step outside our comfort zones, and battle our way through the risk tunnel. Easier said than done, amiright? 🙅♀️ ✨
I left my first big-girl corporate job at Target, right as I was interviewing for the biggest promotion of my career. ✌️ I thought that was scary enough, but then I took an even bigger risk. I invested in business coach. 👯♀️ ✨
Those 2 risks have paved the way for my success: building my business 💰 , growing my client list 📝 , and obtaining travel freedom ✈️ . And they’re the inspiration for today’s #tiptuesday on how to get through the tunnel:
1️⃣ When you’re in the risk tunnel, your inner critic comes out to “play”. She’ll remind you of your fears and try to get you to quit. Ignore her! Identify your limiting beliefs and address them. ✋
2️⃣ Surround yourself with a real support system – not just friends and family, but people who believe in you and people who will cheer for you no matter what. 👯♀️ 3️⃣ Rinse and repeat. The more you take risks, the more you create a habit of pushing the limits of your comfort zone. And “everything you want is just outside your comfort zone” – Robert Allen (and me, too) 🔁 ✨
Drop an emoji in the comments and let me know what risk you took that paid off, or the one you want to take now. ✨
I’ve been traveling a ton lately! Picking out my wedding dress 👰🏽 with veil in Atlanta, hanging pool-side🏝 w/girlfriends in Mexico… All while juggling my 9-to-5 🤹♀️
I’ve been building my business, and I’m already enjoying the freedom that comes with it ✈️ But I started with serious doubts and I kept finding reasons not to start.
Don’t let your doubts overcome you, they’re just myths we tell ourselves.
I’m busting the top 3 myths I hear from clients: ✨
1️⃣ Building a business is my backup plan 🚫
If you treat your passion like a backup plan, it won’t happen. Drop the backup plan mentality. Make your passion your #1 priority, and use your 9-to-5 to help you get there. ✨
2️⃣ Corporate might get better 🚫
Okay, imagine that it is “better”. Are you making your own rules and spending your time doing what you love? At your core you ALREADY know corporate is not the life for you. ✨
3️⃣ I don’t know how to follow my passion 🚫
When we started in corporate we all took risks and learned along the way. Building a business is the same, except you’re in the driver’s seat, & you can have a coach in the passenger seat. ✨ ✅Trust in yourself, because you are 💯 capable and have so much value to share. Are you ready? Drop a thumbs up in the comments if you are (even if you’re not sure)! With Love,

I’ve just come back from a glorious weekend in Mexico 🇲🇽, lounging pool side 🏝, spending time with besties 👯♀️, and throwing back a cocktail 🍹 or two.
I’m not going to lie, getting back into the groove of things is not an auto-pilot situation. Anytime I take a break from my business (let alone my 9-to-5), I feel like I’m back at step one.
First steps are hard, whether you’re getting back into the swing of things, or starting from square 1. I know first steps intimately, because I put off the biggest first step of all for way too long – booking clients. 😁
I’d put it off by procrastinating or perfecting aka avoiding. We go into avoidance mode because our brains are trying to keep us safe. But safe doesn’t let you ditch your 9-to-5, create your own rules, or be your own boss. Safe is not for me, and I don’t think it’s for you either 👊🏽
I said goodbye to safe by changing my entire mindset, and then booked 8 clients in 8 days 🍾
And I’m sharing how I did it in today’s #tiptuesday :
1️⃣ Know yourself: changing your mindset starts with focusing your thoughts on success instead of fear. You can do this with journaling, vision boards, sourcing quotes – whatever works for you! 🤯
2️⃣ Know your client: go beyond the typical demographics and create a profile for your target client that includes everything from what they do for fun on Saturdays to what keeps them up at night 🤝
3️⃣ Know your goals: with your new success-oriented mindset, you can build your business plan, get feedback from those you trust in your network, and craft a pitch that speaks to your target client 🌟
What are you doing that’s keeping you safe, but keeping you from taking those first steps?
