Happy Monday beauties and a little bit late of a Happy #EarthDay ! I wanted to write a more thoughtful post about mother earth, but honestly was too busy enjoying her yesterday to pause. And since #everydayisearthday and I really feel she should be celebrated every day, I said well let’s do this! 🌎We are so intimately connected to nature, in fact I would say that we are nature. Our bodies are made up of all the same elements, minerals, and energy that make up the planet. The percentage of water in our bodies, reflects that of the water on the planet. Our circadian rhythm works with the rising and setting of the sun. The oxygen we breathe is from a symbiotic relationship between ourselves and trees. Our physical bodies provide nourishment to the soil when our spirits leave this earth. When we put our bare feet or hands in the earth, our stress levels and inflammation immediately go down. ✨Unfortunately, the landscape of our society often leads many of us to become disconnected from mother earth. We have homes with heat, electricity, and lots of electronics. We spend way more time indoors than we do outdoors. We buy food in plastic and jars from a supermarket. ✨These are things that aren’t really going to change, but what can change is your consciousness. When you connect with the energy and flow between all living beings and this earth, you gain a level of respect. As consumers, we can become conscious consumers that make choices based on how our choices and actions will affect our community, the environment, and our health. 🌏So, connect with mother earth daily and you will find yourself wanting to make better choices that will not only enhance your body, but also play a role in reducing pollution to this beautiful planet that we are able to call our home!

Let’s talk about self care real quick. Loving your fucking body and mind and heart and appreciating yourself enough to go hard with that self love/care is dope. When you truly and whole heartedly love and respect yourself, self care comes naturally. BUT the opposite is also true. If you aren’t in the place where you think you are a fucking queen (or king) yet, treat yourself to some self care and watch the transformation and mindset shift occur.
What does that look like? Feeding your body beautiful foods that fulfill your taste buds and nourish your gorgeous body. Being late to a friends birthday because you’re having a weird fucking day and need to meditate so you can show up better for her. Moving in a way that strengthens you mentally and physically... and that you actually enjoy. Hugging people and making human connections. Dancing with your girls and laughing until your cheeks hurt.
Every day is different, but there’s always a way to sneak in a little self care, whatever that is for you! Hope you are all having a beautiful Saturday 😘😘😘 #holisticrendezvous

I tried some new fishies today, but I gotta stick with the OG sardines... or smoked clams because they are also deliciousss.
Did you know... Sardines are an amazing source of vitamin B12, selenium, phosphorus, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, and
protein! These tiny little fishies contain almost 340% of your B12 in one serving, which is fantastic since many americans are deficient in this. The B12 along with the omega-3 fatty acids make them an extremely heart healthy food. The vitamin D, B12, and calcium play extremely important roles in bone health, so eat up! Sardines are also awesome because they are such tiny fish that they filter mercury much more efficiently than other fish, thus containing much less mercury than others. So maybe reach for a can of sardines instead of tuna!

At least I had some @rowdymermaidkombucha to add some color to this lunch. My favorite super quick and delicious lunch is definitely greens topped with tuna salad, avocado, fermented veggies, and some seeds for a little crunch.
I use @wildplanetfoods wild caught tuna, @primalkitchenfoods mayo, @sirkensingtons Dijon, tons of fresh herbs, celery, and green or white onions! Salt and pepper to taste of course.

Mush bowls for the win with my babes. Today is Emmy’s 3rd birthday (21 in human years), so we took her to her favorite place to chase geese, gave her lots of treats, a bath, and now she’s enjoying her first legal beverage 😉! We also got to go to our favorite places in Boulder, bought crystals, and now are digging into these delicious bowls.

I was on the pill when I was younger and experienced a lot of issues while on it and for years afterwards as I tried to rebalance my hormones.
