It’s been almost 8 weeks since I’ve sewn a stitch, either by hand or by machine. I’m finally over being sick, and I decided to make a few hexis last night. I’m going to make a few more before going down to the studio. First step will be to clean off the new island and put some fabric away. I might even get to sew a little. Happy day! 😄
Hey, Portland area peeps! I registered for 4 tickets, but a change of plans means I have one extra ticket. If you want it, holler! You’d have to meet me and go in with my group since its under my name. After that, sit with us or go your own way, up to you. I’d love@to meet someone new from Portland!! 😄 Any takers???
Hi, I’m Tammy. I’d love to be a #wwarepsearch18 . I love sewing, from quilts, pillows, mini quilts, bags, tiny clothes to name a few. Being a rep for @westwood_acres would be such a privilege. Thanks so much for the opportunity, @a.crafty.fox .
I haven’t posted anything in a couple weeks because I’ve been sick. Today marks 3 weeks. I went to the doctor today for the second time and finally have a diagnosis of pneumonia. While it’s definitely not fun, it’s treatable. I’m so happy that I’ll be feeling better in a few days. Until then, this is my view. Soon, I’ll be back to sewing and knitting and stitching!
This is a onesie cake I finished. I had some big issues with it (cake was super soft, so crumb coating was awful even after chilling), and the sides aren’t as smooth as I wanted, but I think you can tell what it is. The sprinkles are shaped like cars and trucks. I’m glad it’s done, but I’ll never make a cake like this in one night, on a weeknight, again.
Successful egg dyeing with Emma. We did two methods. The first was the shaving cream method that actually worked. If you try it, wear gloves, which I didn’t do. The second method was the standard kit with bowls of dye. Great fun with the grandbaby.
Day #18 . I’m SO far behind, but wanted to post this. It could be a mini, but I turned it into a pillow for a swap. It’s my first and only (so far) cathedral window, and I loved it so much. I don’t think the recipient loved it as much, but I’ll just make another for myself someday. #igquiltfest
I still need to think about what’s going on top, but I moved my quilts from the ladder to the cabinet today. Folding and refolding each quilts, some at least queen size, into a 10” x 27” size was harder than I thought it would be. I have one other that didn’t fit. Maybe I’ll open the other door and fold it over. For now, I’m pretty happy with this.
