We’re grooving on all things chia lately.
How yum do these chia & quinoa crackers with Dukkah look?
Gut-loving and so naturally high in protein 💪🏻 Chia doesn’t need to be used just in its seeded format, you can grind it to a nutritious flour for omega-rich snacks on the go! ⚡️
We wanted to keep these vegan, so let the chia do its own natural binding work.
- grind 1/2 cup chia seeds
- 1/2 cup quinoa flakes or flour
- 1 cup water - 1/2 tsp sea salt - 1 tbsn coconut oil
- 2 tspns of dukkah, or herbs 🌿
Mix ingredients in a bowl until fully blended and chia has expanded..get your hands in there!
Knead into a dough..adding more water if needed to make it pliable.
Roll between 2 sheets of baking paper to around 1mm thickness.
Add any additional toppings such as black sesame and roll again.
If dough allows, slice into squares. Or pop in the oven for 2 minutes until you’re able to cut and seperate your crackers.
Pop them back in a hot oven for 20-25 minutes until golden.
Allow to rest and crisp up!
If you’re not opting for vegan, you can substitute 1/2 the water with one egg white for a crispier texture.
Serve with your favourite dip, or snack it up for bite size savouries on the go! -
