How do you rest & take time out from your busy life? 
I find that combining time out with gentle exercise works well for me. For me, one of my rest based activities is my Sunday Yin yoga class @bloomyogaroom 
I also love my pilates class @puremoves pilates studio. 
I also adore diving into an epic fiction novel and losing myself to the fantasy of it. Currently in the wonderful world of @sarahjmaas 
I do beach walks when the weather permits along the coast. I colour in mandalas with my daughter. My husband and I get the kids out into nature on their bike or scooters for a spin around a nature reserve. I also enjoy music, meditation and mindfullness. Sometimes time out means delving into a juicy podcast or TED talk to feed my ever curious mind (guilty of this every day). What works for you? Is it painting, knitting, sewing, a long soak in the bath, a massage, gardening? One person's time out is another person's nightmare job. I would love to hear all the creatove ways you take time for you to recharge the battery.

Buffer foods are foods that help you stay on track. They are the opposite to trigger foods. My other buffer food is sugar free or raw chocolate. Having healthier versions of foods I love is one of my personal secrets of success.

A very easy way to increase plant diversity in the diet is to simply buy a different colour or variety of fruit or vegetable in addition to your usual choice. This exposes you to a different phytonutrient profile, some of which can be quite unique. Here I have yellow capsicum and purple and orange carrot. Heirloom varieties can not only increase diversity in your diet, but also improve your health if you consistently choose variety. Most people have a deficiency in purple in their diet. Purple foods tend to be high in polyphenols which encourage the growth of many different beneficial bacteria in your gut.

Chai spiced chia pudding
Soak chia seeds in coconut milk with a pinch of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, cardamon, salt and a splash of maple syrup and vanilla (all optional). Mix and wait til the chia seeds absorb all of the liquid. Add inulin for a prebiotic boost and collagen for gut and skin health. Them layer upon fruit of your choice. I used shredded coconut, banana and blueberries. Great microbiome nourishing recipe.
