When I was in Stockholm, I loved finding coffee shops to sit in and just daydream and people watch especially since I had nothing but free time at my disposal. One great place I found was @kaffeverket. With an intimate interior and a pleasant outdoor seating area perfect for watching the city bustle. I easily fell in love with it! Currently in Jamaica and a kid is living her best life for a week. Well, kinda best. If you’ve watched my stories then you know things have been all over the place!! There have been janky mosquito nets, bomb ass beef patties, a taxi full of luggage driving 165 miles, and amazing street spots like this one where the pineapples are gorgeous. The fruit out here is beautiful in appearance and taste and I’m so grateful to have it. Even more I feel so fortunate to put my feet on the island where my family comes from because it’s me and I am it.
I stay gushing over @wehavenoodlesla and their #1 Chicken Pho is just part of it. Rainy day or not, it’s a great bowl and if you need a reason why you can read all about it at the link in my bio or FollowMyGut.com!
If there’s one thing that I love, it’s Jesus. But after my lord and savior I really adore a dish that looks simple, but tastes amazing! That’s @wehavenoodlesla and their incredible Roasted Eggplant Nahm Prik! The spicy eggplant comes with
root veg chips, crudite, and tom yum flavor and for a veggie dish I adore it! It’s a great veggie dish with lovely textures and flavors and it makes me so happy. If you haven’t had it, I highly recommend it ... and I think Jesus does too 🙂
This past Sunday I got to attend @mastersoftaste at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and I had such a blast! I got to hang out with awesome friends, devour amazing food like @ayarathai (pictured here), and support a great cause since all the event proceeds go to @ushsnews! If you haven’t seen what the event is all about click the link in my bio for the pre-event review and then make sure you’re following @mastersoftaste so you can go next year!
Hey, Stockholm! Your smørrebrød is such a great way to start the day and I only have @hagabageri to thank! To read all about this smørrebrød with brie and marmalade, click the link in my bio or head over to FollowMyGut.com!
Its been a few days since I’ve come back from Stockholm, Sweden and my first solo dolo international trip of me trying to explore the city and figure out myself and this blog along the way. I had my trusty @mefototripods by my side and this latte from @hagabageri is cracking jokes like it knows me personally. With that said, the trip went really well and I already have my first hotel review on FollowMyGut.com right now! Then this review of breakfast at @hagabageri will be coming later today. Hit up the website now and subscribe to get all my Stockholm posts right when they hit!
All last week I was out and about in Stockholm and only posted to IG stories so I could really enjoy the trip — merp, while being semi on Insta! 😊😊😊But now that I’m back I’m excited to let you know that my reviews are starting TOMORROW! I’m so excited to share each moment and to let you know where you should go when you go to Stockholm cuz this is the year where you should let your wanderlust run wild!
If you didn’t know, I ran away. Like far far away. In a previous blog post I wrote about how sick of the job hunt I was and that I needed a break. So I booked a ticket and ran away to Stockholm, Sweden. I’ve been here for the last few days and if you haven’t seen my solo dolo adventures with my @mefototripods on my story then there’s still time to catch up. To see how the trip started check out my latest (in a loooong time) video!
While I’m out and about traveling, I still have to post about some of the places back home that I love! @barillarestaurantsus’s and their pasta is something I’m thinkin about even while overseas and if you wanna see why, then click the link in my bio to read the full review on the restaurant!
This week, I made my way to @bordergrill partially because I’m a fat kid and also because I’m so excited that the restaurant will be a part of this year’s @lafoodbowl! Throughout May, they will be creating menu specials all served in a bowl like this salmon bowl with baby squashes, market greens, farro salad, and salsa verde! To see all the food in a bowl the restaurant will be serving up and for more on this year’s Food Bowl festival, click the link in my bio! #31daysoffood
Sitting in the beautiful @slsbeverlyhills at The Bazaar and I’m super excited to check out one of the genius dishes by @chefjoseandres. This bowl comes just in time as he and @the_thejgold and guests @ZooeyDeschanel, @RonFinleyHQ, @SusanFeniger, @NyeshaJoyce, and @ChefTimKilcoyne will discuss the power of food and how it can change the world at @TheWiltern on May 1st! At the event, some of L.A.'s best sous chefs will take stage, with a challenge to make a dish that could be scalable for hundreds of people as part of post-disaster relief efforts.
