Today my AC in my house decided to crap out. I woke up wrecked, but @skullz_ceo forced me to train with him (fuggin guy doesn't know what rest days are). Then @the_squatfather scolded me for saying you could fat load. I got 1 good pic of my back double though (out of 10), so I have that going for me.
It's not enough that you made it to the gym. There is no room for pride with your TIME in the gym. If you want to be making progress, you are required to train hard and with intent. The gym gods give zero fucks how hard your day has been or what you had going on earlier. All that matters is that you are moving weights you haven't moved before or are shocking your muscles with something they haven't felt before. It's completely understandable that with a lot going on in your life, that some workouts just won't be good. Accept it doesn't matter and that if your not here to push yourself past yesterday's you, you're better off using the two hours you're spending at the gym to go home and get a little extra sleep so you can get a quality workout in tomorrow. Quality over quantity.
Photo's a throwback to smaller/leaner days. This post also doesn't apply to cardio. Just get that ish done.
You don't need to be perfect, but you do need to be conscious of what you are consuming and doing in the gym if you're goal is to make progress. Free eating and random workouts are going to result in you maintaining what you have. That's fine if you are content or satisfied with your current physique, but content and satisfied are enemies of progress.
We're in uncharted territory here and the catalyst has been training, as I've done nothing nutritionally to push the scale higher. I feel great, shoulder is cooperating for the most part, and I'm just enjoying the hell out of every workout. There's something to be said about training hard. The only time I make tangible progress, is when I'm correct in the gym. We can maintain without training hard, but how many of us are trying to just maintain? Don't go through the motions at the gym. Train with intent AND intensity! ➖➖
Glutes aren't just for the bikini class. Dedicated glute training can prevent injuries, create a crazy look in your rear/side shots, and maybe even get you a date.
Got a new toy at @raisethebarhealthandfitness. I haven't used a machine that targets and isolates glutes as effectively as The #Gluteator . @dynavecmd @loudperformancetraining
The offseason isn't always fun. We soften up, food is high enough we don't enjoy it anymore, workouts are grueling, and change isn't nearly as visual. Motivation falls and it becomes easy to start drifting from what is needed to make improvements. Learn to find the positives that the offseason brings (high energy, great workouts, sleep) and stay disciplined. The people falling off when things aren't fun, are the people looking the exact same year to year.
Getting lean, putting muscle on, and looking good aren't the most important things in life, but I really dont meet too many people working on those things that are miserable. In fact, "fit" people tend to be some of the happiest I know (leave those deep into prep out of this). Just because some of these things are superficial and vain, doesn't mean they can't bring or add a lot of positive to your life. #LOUDperformancetraining#TeamLOUD#RaiseTheBarGym
Paused Pit Shark squats feel INSANE! I'm really enjoying this machine. It's helping keep my shoulder healthier and I can take sets to true failure without much risk. Here's the last set where I came up a little short of the 10 rep target.
Bodybuilding is trial and error. EVERY single person is a puzzle that needs to be figured out in order to be your best. Try something, note the positives/negatives, formulate a new plan or tweak the current plan. YEAH, SCIENCE B*TCH! (I miss breaking bad😭). #LOUDperformancetraining#TeamLOUD#RaiseTheBarGym

Throwback to the day before taking the Francois two years ago. Congrats to @chuckkitty for winning it this year. Always a good showing of bodybuilders there.
#WCW to this babe that makes my jaw hit the floor on the daily. I love doing life with you @byrdie19, even when life's super tough 😘 Just keep steppin'. -
Shoutout to @kennywallach for tuning Cylda's posing up. This guy is the best in the business for a reason. After just one session, she was presenting with a much more pleasing look. -
Contest prep + pushing her clients + remodel and opening of the gym + a nagging back issue + staying sane and smiling = Superwoman. I have no idea how she's doing it and I'm so proud of her. ---
My favorite shot of @byrdie19 's overall bikini win at the NPC #RenegadeClassic two weekend's ago.
