Chelsea's camera work is a BIT shaky but everything else is pretty well on point 😜 Vegetarian eating (yes it can work, no I am not one myself), flexible dieting, and hard work. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
YES I’m weird
YES I love that I’m weird
YES I have frenz 🙃
I’m also super fucking ecstatic about how my body has progressed over the last 3 months. To go from nearly killing myself to being this healthy HAPPY beautiful human being is a miracle. But it just goes to show that if I can do it then anyone can. YOU CAN. I’ll start posting more before and after pictures/videos if y’all would like that! I’m also always wanting gym buddies!! So hop on my feeling good fitness train ppl! .
Also special shoutout to my trainer @darin_starr .
I’ve never been so happy and trusting of another person when it comes to my health and fitness as I am with this guy. He knows so much about everything that he does. HES INCREDIBLE AND YOU SHOULD CHECK HIM OUT. 🙌
Right IT band still sucks, but I was able to cobble together a reasonable leg workout and then smoked the ol' calves until they were dead. Slow, stretch, squeeze! 💪🏻 Got an early start and was on my way out of the gym by 8 this morning.
When we bought our house and moved last year, my desk didn't survive the transition. I had to quickly rig something up,and that's what I've been using for the last 9 months. Finally, I found a model that had the right features and my upgrade is at last complete. Productivity level = 1000 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 This chair is pretty legit also. Spend your money where you spend your time! 😎
No biggie, just Cheryl really digging some post-show pumps. She competed in show number 1 twelve days ago and we're about 10 weeks out from number 2. Lots of time which can he awkward but we're making the most of it and putting in some quality work 💪🏻
Been trying some new things with my training to train and freshen things up a bit - though you couldn't tell from this video 🙄 Teaser: tomorrow will mark the third straight day of hitting back. Shorter workouts which for me right now make it easier to focus. Also about to start a legit cut so I can be less tubby 😜🐖
Mary is now just under 7 weeks out, having just bumped up her show date by a week. She's not going to just be ready, she's going to be ready early. Good problem to have and you only get to that stage with some serious commitment and work ethic 💪🏻
Check out what's possible in 3 months if you really have your act together and bust your hump on a daily basis. Nichelle still has 6 weeks plus until her first show but I couldn't sit on these, had to share. Nerd notes: this is following a macro-based plan with moderate restrictions, intelligent refeeds, and modest cardio that is almost exclusively steady state. This is all with significant knee issues and limitations as well. FIND A WAY 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Trish's routine from Saturday in Charlotte, thanks to her husband for the great video. I don't want to go telling stories out of turn, BUT...for WPD the only masters class was 35+ which had Trish competing against women a lot younger and she more than held her own. She did great and now we focus on the truly hard part...finding that post-show balance. Follow what drives you and don't let up. 💪🏻
Single arm preacher curls today, among other things. I did 12 on each side, then another 12 on each without rest and then both arms together to failure and called it a set (3 like that). Damn you instragram and your 1 minute time limit 😑
Swipe ➡️ for fails 😂 It's been about 10 years since I've even attempted a damn box jump, and even then it was always in group classes I was teaching and never more than 24" (because vertical jump = who cares?) - but today Roger said "let's do some box jumps" and because I'm an idiot I agreed. First video at 39", 2nd at 42" - hardly a world record but it was good to prove to myself I can still move a little bit at my heaviest weight.
NOT a new episode (that's tomorrow) but just a heads up that The Drop Set is now available on Stitcher. Full disclosure: I had no idea what Stitcher was until this morning but apparently it's a widely used podcasting app. And now I'm on there! 💪🏻 Search "the drop set" and it comes right up - tell your friends! And for the love of God if there are more popular Podcast apps I'm not on please let me know 😂
@_chiiikersss getting ready for her stage debut in June - different physiques call for different strategies and her strategy is definitely a bit different from the norm - should be fun!
I’ve never been a big fan of back day, but since I’ve been eating right and changed my training styles up the past few weeks thanks to my amazing coach @darin_starr , I have to say I’m pretty proud of how my back looks in just a short amount of time. I never saw much definition in my back when I was training heavy and eating crap food everyday. Just goes to show that eating correctly makes a huge difference and I can’t wait to see how lean my back gets for my show....
Alex on stage yesterday at the Vancouver Natural - in her first show, she took 1st in true novice figure, 1st in novice figure, and 2nd in open figure - all great results, especially for a first show but I'm MORE pleased with how well everything went for the entire week and, frankly, the whole YEAR of work leading into this show. I know it's hard as hell but from where I sit she makes it look easy and she just puts her head down and works. A big congrats to her and now we have 4 weeks to sharpen up a bit more for the Emerald Cup! 💪🏻💪🏻 @alexbassettfit
Yep it's that time...show day is tomorrow. Lots of variables this week but Alex's daily carbs for peak week (starting Monday) have been: 20, 155, 245, 245, and 285 today. Might seem like a lot but we know she responds well to them and compared to single day refeeds we've had throughout prep these numbers aren't crazy. A little harder, tighter, and fuller each day 💪🏻
So happy I could cry 😭🙌🏽🥞
