Solid video. These hard dicks show how effective SOPs are. “Here's a different view of a casualty incident that I have posted my helmet cam footage of in the past. This view was taken from the helmet camera of the guy a few behind me on extraction. The extraction was under heavy fire and one of our guys catches a through and through gunshot wound to the upper thigh / hip region. Seen in this clip is some outstanding Care Under Fire drills from the team, with plenty of suppressing fire and the casualty hauled up into the back of the bird. Once there the crew starts checking him for wounds and preparing tourniquets incase there's anything arterial that they can get a tourniquet on to. It's not pretty, but it's textbook drills for these circumstances when the threat is ongoing.” Regrann from @northamericanrescue - @danpronk #careunderfire , #CUF , #TCCC , #medic , #tacmedaustralia , #northamericanrescue , #specialforces , #specialoperations , #combatmedic , #SOCOM , #GSW , #jasonhall8675 @tacmedaustralia - #regrann
Building a brotherhood takes countless hours of self sacrifice and effort by all parties. Those of you that understand the feeling of brotherhood know how important trust and confidence in each other's skill is to form the foundation to build upon. This is a support structure that is only as strong as it's weakest link. Leaders must push the boundaries of their subordinates but more importantly individuals must push themselves. I can not express in writing how important that last step is. PUSH YOURSELF for your BROTHERS . You can not do this alone and god forbid you get someone killed. Next time your doing pt, building a lesson plan for your boots or studying and you think "maybe I could slow down for awhile" or "man I've been preparing this class for hours" pause. Think of why your doing it. Remember why you're doing whatever it is. WHAT'S THE BIG PICTURE? BE THE BASTARD THAT DOESN'T QUIT!
Active? Reserve? Civilian? Doesn't matter. 8? 12? 16 hour work day? Doesn't matter. If you have time to sleep you have time to train. The only person that can make a difference in your life is you.
