High risk, high reward?
Yes, a cliche, over used saying. But the sentiment behind it still holds.
When I think back to all of the greatest, life changing moments in my life....they have been moments where I have been the most scared.
Not scared that I was making the wrong choice, because I always follow my gut instinct and I really trust myself with that.
But scared of not knowing the outcome; not knowing if it'll be a huge success or a major failure. Not knowing what will be around that next corner if I make that step. Not knowing what backlash, what possible rejection or challenges I may have to face.
Scared because it required me to step outside of my comfort zone; and frankly, that's a scary thing to do sometimes.
here's a reason it's called the "comfort zone". Yeah it's comfortable, it's happy, it's fine.
But is it amazing? Life changing? What your legacy will be based upon?
In my opinion, it's really not.
Those decisions that you are facing right now, the ones that are terrifying you, I encourage you to really dig into those.
Some of the greatest moments in life come from those scary decisions.
And what's the worst thing that could happen? You fail, but earn a major life lesson equipped with so much growth and strength that you're better because of it?
Sounds like a win-win to me.
Keep making those mistakes.
Because I'm willing to bet that some of your greatest learnings and lessons in life have come from the mistakes you have made.
That's how we grow.
Mistakes are good...embrace them.
[SNEAK PEEK!] Life has a funny way of keeping us in check, doesn’t it?
For months, I have felt a bit unclear. Not with what my overall mission and purpose are, but unclear as to the specifics. Who I want to work with, what type of program I want to offer next and what kinds of coaching and training package I could put together. I kept going back and forth, and the end result was hesitation. Hesitation to put out anything because I just wasn’t sure.
Do I feel like the last few months have been wasted time? Absolutely 100% NOT.
Because I listened to my gut, because I waited until I was sure, because I hesitated on moving forward with anything...it gave me the time to really figure it out. And I have something in the works for you that I am so excited about. My gut tells me that this is exactly what I need to be working on right now, so I’m proud of myself for honoring my struggles to get here.
With that, I want to show you a little sneak peek into….The Edge.
Magazine, guest interviews, health tips, recipes, productivity tips, downloadable worksheets, monthly live trainings and more….bundled together for you each month. More details to come...stay tuned for those!
I’m so excited to put the finishing touches on everything and share it with you!
Be honest with yourself...brutally honest.
It doesn't feel good, but that's how we grow. That's how we get better.

Where are you spending your life?
Within the comfort zone of mediocrity?
Or beyond the norms.....in a life above average?
Perhaps the more important question is not where you currently are.... ...........but where do you DREAM to be?
When you find the courage to step out of that comfort zone, amazing things start happening.
You just have to WANT to. ~ Charlotte xx
I talk about mindset all the time. Everything we do, our success and our failures, comes down to our mindset.
Mindset really is everything and that's why I'm so passionate about it. Because regardless of your path, your career, your situation in life - a strong mindset is for everyone. And a strong mindset HELPS everyone.
It's what helps us navigate through this messy, crazy life with happiness, peace and a sense of purpose.
Isn't that something we should all strive for?
To help you get started on this journey towards strengthening your mindset (and it's a never-ending process of learning and growth, but we have to start somewhere), check this out:

I can not stress how important doing this kind of work truly is.
What we often fail to realize, or remember, is that what holds us back in our lives aren’t the obstacles that we face.
It’s not the outside situations or the other people around us.
It’s our minds.
Let’s build up our mindsets so we have the strength and the clarity and the tools to really move forward in our lives towards what we desire.
This week’s food prep for Charlotte:
*Chopped iceberg lettuce
*Shredded green & purple cabbage *Grated carrot *Cut up cucumber *Celery & carrot sticks *Blueberry steel cut oats
*Moroccan chickpea tagine & basmati rice
It’s great to have a mix of pre-made meals and chopped up fresh ingredients. Pre-made meals are perfect for when you’re in a rush or extra tired, and prepped fresh ingredients allow you the flexibility to create a meal according to what you feel like eating that given day.
Doing a little extra prep on the weekend or at the start of the week, is really a small price to pay to save you from stressing about what to make for dinner and pack for lunch later on in the week! ~ Kayla Dawn, @theroastedchickpea
The complainers, the nay-sayers, the people who view the world through a dark lens where it seems everything is bad, everyone is against them and nothing is good. You know anyone like that?
Of course you do.
And if you're like me, you're probably guilty of being like that at times, too. We all have our moments and none of this is meant to be about perfection.
But that constant, perpetual negativity? That's what I want to dig into. That kind of negativity is going to show up everywhere.
And when it does, we have two choices.
Fall into it and join them, or rise above it.
It’s all about how you show up for yourself; it’s about strengthening that mindset and developing the tools you need so that you’re not triggered by this negativity. So that when you’re around it, or someone says something to you, you don’t just go to auto-pilot mode and react; you’re able to slow the process down, reflect on it and take action based on informed choices.
On my latest blog, I break down my top 3 tips to rise above the negativity in life.
Check it out and share your thoughts below!
Don't lose sight of the nows.
Those are the moments that are making up your life.
Stop waiting until the weekend, until that vacation, until the kids are older, until, until, until....it goes on and on.
Meanwhile, time ticks on whether you're ready or not.
Forever is composed of nows.
Powerful, beautiful words.
Yes!! A thousand times YES!
Time to take accountability for your shit.
You made a mess? Clean it up.
Avoiding a difficult conversation? Have it.
Putting off something that's not going to feel good? Just do it.
We are all adults here. No one is responsible for your actions, your behaviour or your choices but you. Own it. And if you need help, admit it.
