You never forget your 1st electric truck. Had the honor and privilege to go back to Valencia College and help the kids with their short film. I taught them more efficient ways to work and impressed them rigging Kinos to drop ceilings (all that Senter Stages time paid off lol). Then we went out drinking after wrap last night. Good group of talented and passionate filmmakers and I had a lot of fun giving back #ValenciaCollege#ValenciaFilm#FilmFlorida#SetLighting#GivingBack
I’ll never forget the night I took this photo. I felt like such an intruder. I was taking a photography class as an elective while in film school. The assignment was street photography so I set my sights on downtown Orlando on a Friday night. It was a chilly evening and I happened upon this homeless person as I was walking back to my car on a side street. That this person was using this doorway to block the wind and the box in an attempt to trap in whatever heat they could humanized this person to a point where I felt bad stopping to take a photo. At the same time, this sight was powerful and I feel we as a society should be forced to look at it. I switched the lens into autofocus and stayed on my feet as I had no intention of sticking around long enough to get caught taking such a private photo without asking. I never used this for my assignment, it still leaves me feeling guilty. I should’ve helped or at least left a couple bucks for him... I took vastly better pictures that night but this will always be the one that stands out from that evening. Can’t believe this is still on the card .....
