Today was tough. I chose a workout that I thought was going to be “easy”.. it was short, I had completed it multiple times before. Then I got into it...
Two moves in (yea, TWO MOVES) and I had to drop my weights. Not drop them to lighter.. legit drop them- not hold any weights. Talk about feeling defeated 😕
I could have stopped. Nobody was making do this. But ya know what?👉🏼 THAT’S DISCIPLINE.👊🏼
Sometimes it’s going to suck. 🤷🏼♀️ (Sorry, just being real!) Sometimes you just gotta do it, but I promise- when you’re done, you’ll feel 100X better!
Can we talk about cardio for a sec? I used to go on long runs all the time. (Nothing bad about that.) But, I did that to try and lose fat. 🤦🏼♀️I don’t know about you, but I was NOT seeing the results I wanted to.
Thank goodness I was finally introduced to hiit. 👏🏼Don’t get me wrong.. I die a little every time I see that its cardio day, but boyyy do I love the endorphin rush & and the fat loss!🙈
Not sure where to start? Give this circuit a try-
-30sec. jumping jacks
-30sec. frog squat jumps
-10 reps slider knee pulls ——
To make up your own circuits, just pick a lower intensity move (jumping jacks) and a higher intensity move (squat jumps). Do one for a set amount of time & immediately follow it with the next move! You can’t make up a hiit circuit that doesn’t work (… unless you don’t DO the work)! You got this!💪🏼

Eggs aren’t pretty in pictures hence the the flowers 😂🙈They are tasty though! 🍳
•11 eggs (yea, that ocd will get ya here)
•1/2 cup diced ham
•1/2 cup spinach, chopped
•1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
•salt & pepper to taste
~Mix everything together in a bowl. Fill an oiled, twelve serving cupcake tin with mixture.
~Bake on 400° for about 12-15 minutes or until no goo comes out when poked with a knife.

I was nervous to start 80 days of timed nutrition, intense workouts and using sliders or loops. 😳I didn’t know if I could stick to it perfectly— and I didn’t, not perfectly anyway, but it got me here! 👏🏼I’m damn proud of how far I’ve come physically & the mental part? That’s my favorite…
Before starting this program I’d totally binge if I ate ONE food that was off plan.. I felt like a total failure and that I’d have to “start over” on Monday, or next month.😕I didn’t have faith that I could complete 80 workouts or keep my nutrition in line.
Now, BRING IT. 👊🏼My mindset has totally shifted- I’ve shown myself that I CAN do it and the struggles just make me better. If I eat a cookie, I don’t get frustrated at myself- I MOVE ON.🙌🏼

Today I struggled with my workout.. with my pants.. being too big!😂🙈🤦🏼♀️ A good struggle to have a I guess?! This last week is really leaning me out with the whole carb cycling deal (something I was 100% terrified of, but turns out it’s not bad.)🤷🏼♀️
PS- something I wanted to touch on yesterday but didn’t get a chance:
👉🏼 I used to think that, when I fell off track, I was a failure. I had failed at “being healthy”. I would be so frustrated and RE- plan my month of workouts and RE- plan my week of meals (which took me forever by the way).🙄
I finally realized that having a glass of wine 🍷 or eating a bowl of mac and cheese 🧀 is OKAY and I’d survive- I’m human.💁🏼♀️ I also realized that having the tools and programs that I do allow me to buckle down quicker/ more strict when I want to. 👏🏼No more planning. No more looking up workouts and meal plans. Just starting and immediately feeling better.🙌🏼
💗You’re not a failure. One burger won’t undo what you’ve worked so hard to achieve. Just get right back to making better choices!✨

Fajita Steak Salad💃🏼
🌶Marinate one pound of flank steak in 2 tbsp olive oil, juice from one lemon, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp chili powder, 2 tsp minced garlic and one chopped jalapeño (seeds out for less spicy) for a few hours.
🍽Grill steak in cast iron until desired doneness. Spray corn tortilla lightly with olive oil spray on each side, lightly salt and bake in oven at 400 until crispy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🥗Base with 1 cup spring mix, top with flank steak, tortilla crisps & avocado cilantro dressing! (I use @bolthousefarms )

On a health and fitness note-
I HAVE ONE WEEK LEFT OF MY PROGRAM!🎉 I didn’t really monitor my nutrition this past week.. on purpose. Typically I focus on making the healthiest choices possible, keep track of alcohol intake and make sure I’m being somewhat active along with my workouts.
Of course this is important & yes it takes time and energy. This weekend was meant to be a break (which I totally think is fine). Not a total break... We still worked out, we still ate decent, but yea- I totally enjoyed some wine & Mac and cheese! 🍷#noragrets ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Super excited to get this bootcamp officially kicked off tomorrow, be on point with my nutrition and kick butt on these workouts with my girls! 👯♀️💗💪🏼

📟So that I can have a schedule that I set, not a “on call, all the time” feeling that I have now! 🌴So that I can decide when I go on trips without stressing over PTO. 🌍 So that I can experience everything I want to experience while still providing an income for myself & B.
I don’t want to blame my “job” for not allowing me to go places, do things & live life. 🤷🏼♀️Do you?!
Ren baby could get used to having his mom home all day 😆 We enjoyed the sun and played a ton of fetch!☀️🐶 He’s probably wondering when I’m going to become a stay at home dog mom🤔 (Soon, Ren, soon.😏)

1️⃣If I hate it... that probably means I NEED it.
2️⃣Once I started, it took me 10 minutes to be in a better mood & happy/ proud that I pushed play.
3️⃣It’s not a quick fix and I only make the process longer by skipping a workout!

I stayed up late last night to meal prep & I’m so glad I did! Because these stuffed peppers are tasting b.o.m.b.💥

In other news, I drank alcohol for the first time in like a month and have been in a head fog and bloated for the past two days🤦🏼♀️ Now I remember why I stopped with the wine for a little while!😂 Oh well, back on my grind today!💪🏼
