Prayers please ✨for little Naya. She fell off the swing set this evening, bracing herself with her delicate forearm and wrist. After speaking to a doctor, a dear friend of our neighbor Anna’s, we determined it was ok to wait until the morning to get x-rays. My sense is she quite hurt but scared to let me know how much, because she is afraid to go to the hospital. Please send her healing love, it’s so frightening to see your child hurting a lot. 💔

When we chant mantra, we are vibrating the body and every cell in it. Since each cell represents a microcosm of all that we are, all that is, the stimulating of its consciousness through the chanting of mantra also acts to bring all the body's cells into vibration with each other. In a room full of others giving voice to mantra, we are joining in wider consciousness that has the potential to expand in all directions to and with all beings. I also understand the practice to connect us with ancient traditions and bring us into alignment with their never-ending vibrations. It also offers a bridge to other practices by which humans and other beings come into harmony: singing to oneself, to loved ones, in the shower, along wilderness trails; listening to birdsong and whistling in response; marveling at the humming and groaning of whale song; intoning hymns in churches; hearing calls to prayer from mosque towers; being inspired by the voices of synagogue cantors; dancing to the rousing rhythms of a Krishna procession; or experiencing the healing offered by the chanting of indigenous rituals. All of this comes from the articulation and vocalization of a mantra's syllables. No matter who we are, it is already part of us.- Bill Savage lovingly wrote this for my upcoming mantra retreat in Costa Rica! 😍
We all want to belong. Although we can only belong to our own feelings.
The irony is, we all had Mothers or someone who took care of us up until a certain point and we thought we belonged to them.
If we were lucky, this mother or caregiver gives us a gift:
The gift of empathy.
To feel another’s sorrow, anguish, fear, concern, excitement, anger, urgency, joy and peacefulness. So we can share L O V E.
f e e l s like or how to give it.❤️ This is why mantra and yoga are so profoundly transformative.
They re-harmonize and re-organize the body back to the patterning of love. Slowy but surely. When we exist in this space, everything has meaning, loosing the categories around what we perceive is special or not. Interesting or not. Bad or good. Genius or stupid. These things simply exist for contrast, to exercise our free will. .
So based on the experience we co-inhabited longest, 🙉
this is the dominant feeling tone we’ll know forever. #chooselove
I know i just shared this in my stories, but it’s just too delicious to not share in detail here. ✨@embodyzest instructed me to make an herbal infusion from our garden with mint, bergamot + tulsi. Then she added a whole gorgeous candied hibiscus flower, elderberry syrup, a bit of gin + rum from Barbados and garnished the top with wild sorrel flowers. 🌸A lusciously delicious cocktail would be an understatement. It was one of those magical alchemical creations you never forget experiencing. 🎶
Learning to celebrate is definitely something i cultivated as an adult especially living in Maui and Louisiana. Both places have people who know how to let go, relax, forget about all the to do lists and just talk, be silly, LAUGH and dance until you have blisters. 😅This has never been easy for me being a fairly serious introvert. I started enjoying a little alcohol in my twenties! Before that i was obsessed with healing and having a clean body. Now i wish I would swing back in the other direction some. But life has an ironic way of balancing us out while simultaneously humbling us before our very own eyes.
Next time someone wants to celebrate with you slow down, look them in the eye and absorb as much sweetness and love as you can. Life is lived in the moments of pause, to fully experience this, know you are worthy of such enjoyment. ❤️Love you all. 😊
i am really delighted to be singing and playing among such gifted musicians. Here begins a new chapter where i offer myself fully and passionately to song. Singing in Spanish tends to require this, but it’s been something i’ve held back for a long time. I am so grateful for this music and this talented group. We are looking forward sharing this music with you!!

“Sometimes when we hear a song we breathe deeply and sigh. This reminds the prophet that the soul arises from heavenly harmony. In thinking about this, he was
aware that the soul itself has something in itself of this music…” .
-Hildegard of Bingen
You don’t have to believe your own thoughts. This is the beginning of freedom.
You are loved.
