Completed another episode of doing-shit-im-not-good-at with a bunch of wide grip back work. Went real wide grip for sets of 12 on pullups and had to go assisted on the last set because these fatigue me like CRAZY.

Fitness 100% changed my life. To me, fitness isn’t about spendings hours a day in the gym, being “shreddy” AF (though there’s nothing wrong with that), or most importantly, obsessing over meals. It’s not about placing body composition above all else; it IS about placing your physical AND mental health as a priority in your life. We know physical exercise, whether aerobic or anaerobic in nature, has the ability to completely transform your health in innumerable ways. Altering body composition is a definite adage for many as well! But the MENTAL state specifically; this is what gets me all emotional. The motivation to succeed. The DRIVE and the WILLPOWER it takes to achieve levels you didn’t know were possible. For beginners, to walk into a gym without a freaking clue what they’re doing, and to say “I’m going to do the dang thing anyway”. THAT’S what gets me emotionally charged!! I’ve been lifting for going on 4 years now. Would I change the course of my path? Heccckkkkk no. Each and every step I’ve taken; some fearful and some fearless, have molded me into the person I am in the fitness world today. I’ve educated myself, learned from others, and watched others grow in their own success. Translating that appropriately can help you in your personal journey more than you know. The most amazing part is- we have barely begun:) SO excited to continue this journey. So determined to be the best trainer I can be (on top of my career as a speech pathologist), and really grow from my experiences with clients. No one ever grew from being inside their comfort zone. You GROW from stepping out in the unknown. I believe that in this journey I got very lucky. Why? Because I had someone that motivated and believed in me...she believed in me more than anyone, more than myself. First picture I took in this journey I sent it to her on Snapchat "Day 2" it said. She cheered for me and I kept sending her more pictures because she was rooting me! Days that it was hard to go to the gym I would go because I would tell myself she will get on to me if I tell her I didn't go. 😅 I remember my first workout my arms gave up on me and fell on the mat, I couldn't push myself up even with all the assistance weight, and I couldn't lift the bar (with no added weights) on the bench press by myself...yet she told me I did good and it will get better. Her words, positive attitude, willingness to help/teach me is what helped me so much!
She helped me learn exercises and what to eat. You can say she was my personal trainer. We are miles apart but still share this journey together ❤...I remind her that I have so much to thank her. Pictures are before, during, and now of this journey. I think in all both of us have gained more confidence, self love, and passion (and I have lost some cheeks) for this lifestyle. @thickfit.alex thank you for everything.

Today was the last day of my 2 week free accountability group.. basically a mini sneak peak version of what I do every month.. .

I can’t make those pounds or inches go away.. but I can certainly provide all the tools you need to get there. .

• Being a person that looks into life as complicated mechanisms from very close distance, I’ll give an advice that I use myself. “ Define your purpose and move towards with unlimited amount of passion and hard work “.
Very“ black and white “ point of view , because saving mental strength and focus on the goals matters more than wasting time in doubt.
The true message in all of this is to make a decision an stick with it. The keyword here is DECIDE! 🌟 🔑.
When u make a decision about something you go all in with it... u make that decision an that’s what it is from that point forward —— but how can u go forward if u don’t ever make the DECISION to complete whatever is ur goal?? Answer::: ur gonna fumble around along the way jumping off an on ur goal till u either quit or fall off a thousand times b4 u DECIDE that u have to reach this goal NO MATTER WHAT! So u made the decision.. I’m proud of u!! 🙌🙌🙌 Step 1- COMPLETE ✔️. .
Done deal— now for step 2: Write ur goals on a calendar- days, start time.. what it is ur doing- u kno, the works.).
