A tale to tell...
Koley Market in Kolkata, India, is one of the most remarkable markets I’ve ever seen. The inside of the market is mayhem. This is where street vendors, restaurants, and hotels buy their produce. It’s the fruit and veggie equivalent of Tokyo’s frenzied Tsukiji fish market. Surviving a morning at Koley involves ducking before your head gets smacked by one of those heavy loads, and smiling a lot while everyone tells you to get out of the way. But this is my favorite kind of chaos: bright, fast, and worth it.
Many of the sellers put colored cellophane on the overhead lamps to make the vegetables even prettier....I have been to the market various times ...but I would like to thank @wayeyesee
with whom I was there and who was guiding me through the entire process of shooting this amazing place ..!
