today's one of those days — woke up with intense cramps and still recovering from a flu and i just wanted to stay in bed. we're our own biggest critic and may find it hard to love ourselves even on good days so naturally it's even harder on MEH days. but i got out of bed eventually after i came across this by @lalahdelia; love yourself even on bad days, this too shall pass.

This week has been a struggle. I haven’t been motivated, and have been 👇🏻 no bueno. When that happens I always like to focus on my progress. I like to look back at where I came from, and try not to focus on how far I have to go, because let’s face it...I’ve got a lot of work to put in 💪🏻. But don’t worry, I’m prepared and I’ve got some BIG goals👍🏻. The first picture was right when I started training with my bad a** Trainer/Coach at the end of November vs. tonight—after a great back day. Swipe right and you will see my almost 300 pound self vs. now. I am terrible at taking progress pictures(because I hate them), but they are SO important. Looking at these tonight reminded me that I CAN do this and I’m GOING to do this and I am NOT going to stop. So, if you are like me, having a bad day/bad week, trying to find your motivation, ask yourself to remember why you started and refocus. Pick back up and get your s*** together. The days we struggle to get to the gym because we aren’t feeling it, but we do it anyway, those are the days that count. Just a reminder that you can do anything you set your mind to. If it was easy, everyone would do it. At the beginning of this journey (about 2 years ago), a girl said to me, “being skinny isn’t everything.” I was insulted by that. Since when is working out and eating the right things about being skinny? Did I want to lose a few pounds? Yes. But what I was looking for was inner peace and self love. She had it all wrong. So many people think we workout to be skinny and fit in with society’s standards and expectations when in reality, it’s the opposite. Anyone who is dedicated to this lifestyle knows how much of a challenge it is and how discouraging it can be, but also how wonderful and rewarding it is. Young men and women hate themselves because of what they see on TV and in the magazines. If only they could teach you that self love comes from within, its not just about the way you look. There are so many ways you can find that self love. I just so happened to find it in fitness. I just wanted to feel good and feel like I was helping myself instead of sitting around and complaining and not doing anything to help my insecurities. I wish I could go back and look that girl in the face and say “you are right, but you have it so wrong.” Being skinny isn’t everything, BUT if being skinny is what it takes for you to be happy THEN DO IT. It’s your body. Find positive and healthy ways to love yourself and don’t let anyone else stand in the way. This is your journey. Do as you please.

Day 4/21 Keto Challenge
So I found MCT oil last night and put it in my post gym protein shake. NEVER AGAIN!!! I was up past 2AM 😳 However I never once felt tired today though so the Keto is working. I survived the first day of summer break with the kiddos and I celebrated by taking a hot soak and having my low cow ice cream 🍨 I didn’t get my workout in today because hammock time was more important and somedays you just have to prioritize your life😉 this was my path today. I want to ask about your path though. Are you on a path for yourself or are the opinions of others causing doubt and despair? Don’t let the opinions of others dictate where you belong. You know in your heart where that is and I encourage you to silence the doubt and the doubters by passionately pursuing what sets your soul on fire in spite of what others might think. You are capable, worthy and amazing and only you know where you belong 🤙🏽♥️🌞
Cioppino Seafood Soup. Yep, amazing. Totally part of my meal plan and I added some extra Brussels on the side for more veggies. And I had a glass of vino.

Also, down 10 pounds in 2 weeks and FULL. Holy moly.
I love not being on a diet and getting the best results of my life, and to know that workouts are a bonus??? I will always workout because I love it, but you don't have to.
