Hamstrings are a group of 3 muscles on the back of our legs that are attached to the hip bone and the knee (not getting into details now). .
Hamstrings main functions are to bring the heel towards butt (bend the knee), and extend the leg from the hip (lift leg backwards).
When hamstrings are tight it causes our pelvis to tilt backwards (tuck in) and it pulls the muscles of the mid back ending up with amplified curvature if the thoracic spine (khyposis). .
Hamstrings are the containers for all our fears and anger related situations. .
You need to work on your hamstrings daily and here is the suggestion how to do that.

This is another one that’s bittersweet for me - my all time favorite pose before my stroke. Ahhhhh.
I’ve not only lost the flexibility, but maybe even more importantly, the confidence, that is required to do this pose.
You can clearly see my nervousness and tentativeness all over my face.
Scared another stroke is one breath away.
I would be lying if I said I don’t have fearful moments but I no longer live every moment in fear.
You are not truly living if you are in fear with every breath.
And life is only worth living if you are truly LIVING.
