Engaging your core ✨ with yogini from HK @roxanne_yoga
You hear a lot of Teachers say: Suck your stomach in.
Well, sucking your stomach in when you're dumping on your back doesn't help engage your core at all, let alone efficiently, and don't you find that it's so hard to breathe? I've a lot of people telling me they don't understand what it means to 'lengthen the tailbone down' and 'draw ribs in.' These two movements help 1)prevent you from dumping into your lower back, and 2)engage your core more efficiently, ensuring safety when you practice.
In the long run, it helps you build strength and awareness when you're upside down. I've done a video to show what it means in different poses. Hope this helps!

The concept of our wellness event began with a private yoga class in my best friend’s living room with
a few of my closest girlfriends. After class we had healthy snacks, mimosas, great conversation and thought: “We should do this once a month.”
Here we are 1 year later and we’re doing yoga once a month with an amazing TRIBE of people... I just want to say THANK YOU!!! 🙏🏽🖤

Eating in Italy has been a true joy, not having to worry about organic or fresh and knowing that what I’m eating came from right where I am, this truly is #ladolcevita
Confidence isn’t something that will come when you have less fat on your body.
Being a certain number on the scale won’t magically make you love yourself.
Having visible abs won’t suddenly stop those insecurities.
And no matter how big your glutes are, if you’re not happy with yourself with a small butt, having a big butt will make no difference.
Confidence is absolutely nothing to do with what’s on the outside.
Sure a new dress can make you feel like a million bucks - temporarily.
But wouldn’t it be better if you just started to love who you are?
No pressure to look a certain way.
No chasing of perfection.
Just love for your body, this incredible thing you’ve been blessed with.
This monumental organism you’ve been born into that works so hard to do it’s best for you.
I truly believe this is the key.
The moment you love yourself your choices change.
You choices of what you eat.
Of how you exercise and move.
The moment you start working to make that internal voice a kind and loving one.
The moment you take a step towards actually being happy.
I don’t know how much I weigh.
I have cellulite.
I have stretch marks.
I have made zero effort to aesthetically change my body in the last 6 months.
Am I happy?
I can promise you this is nothing to do with how I look.
And everything to do with self love.
And if I can get there,
Then so can you.
