OMG. My sweatshirt is so close to being done. Just a little bit more of the sleeve and then I start sewing it together! After that the neckline and it's all done. This is very exciting.

🌸💝Happy Friday’s Eve, friends! Hope you’re staying hydrated! I wanted to start off by thanking all of you for your support yesterday when I posted in my story that I’ve been severely struggling with my depression and mental health. I was disappointed with the way I’ve been feeling and how my mindset kept tricking me into feeling that I’m not good enough and there’s nothing to look forward to in life. I was also feeling that my circle of friends has deteriorated because people were tired of me. FALSE. Those are just thought distortions of mine that I’m learning to challenge by changing the way I think and view the universe. If I want positive results, the key is to think positive. It’s definitely easy for those with depression to feel that everything is working against us. That’s also not true. It’s just another thought trap. One more thing, if I may add, I’m learning to be grateful in the moment I’m in because it is placed in my life for the right reasons only. Learn to work with what you have right now and be present. It’s not easy but it’s worth the time. As we progress and face our demons, things will start to fall into place. God isn’t done with you, so please don’t give up on yourself. Be the star you know you’re meant to be and don’t live up to other people’s expectations of you if you feel that they’re not right for you. Do you, babes! Have a blessed day!💝🌸
Texture for days!!
Finally got my #FibreShare yarn from my partner @muffinandmunch on my hook, mixed with @langyarns_official Sophia in Gold - the Delmas Cowl pattern by @debrosse_nyc is giving me LIFE!!
I have been thinking a lot about this after listening to @karendawnknits podcast about her local shop closing.
As for me - I love a good deal but I think it's more important to support my local shops when I can. I purchase from them much more often than I do online.
What do you do to help your local shop? Let's chat about it!
Hey everyone! So two weeks ago I decided to quit my job and finally do something I truly LOVE for a living. With the support of my family, friends, and people in this amazing community I will be opening my VERY OWN local yarn store in North Suffolk called Stitch Please Yarn Arts! The location I'm working on getting into is right off Bennett's Pasture road! I will not be open until the July-August time frame as I still have A LOT to do, such as getting all my inventory together, finalzing a lease, and getting set up. But I hope you'll spread the word, join some classes, and learn to love the yarn arts as much as I do!
I think that it’s about time I introduce myself! My name is Jenni, I’m 26 years old. I’m newly engaged to this handsome man in the picture with me, Valen 😍. We’ve been together since February 2012, and he’s okay with my yarn addiction slowly taking over our home 😂. I’ve been working with yarn for about 4 or 5 years now. I started off knitting, but fell in love with crocheting! I learned by watching Youtube tutorials and reading a beginners book I bought from Michaels. I’m still learning new things, and trying to perfect my techniques.
I started this page because I feel like my crocheting was starting to take over my personal account 😂. And I also want to start an Etsy page one day. Working 2 jobs just makes it challenging to find time to build up inventory 🤷🏻♀️. I just want to thank everyone who follows my little page, and I hope you find my content interesting! And feel free to share any crochet knowledge with me 😁💕 #crochet#crochetallday#crochetaddict#yarn#yarnaddict#meetthemaker#handmade#homemade#engaged#wedding#testarossa#testarossawinery#losgatos#timberland#helikeditsoheputaringonit
Not sure what to cast on next? How about a shawl in all the bright, hot colors of summer?
😎🍉🍑🍊☀️🍧🍭🍬 Radiant bursts of color and delectable, easy lace make for an accessory that is captivating to knit and elegant to wear.
We’ve put together 6 saturated and playful color palettes for the Starburst Shawl by Emily Wood, featuring yarn by @sweetgeorgia. What you’ll get when you buy the kit: One full skein of Tough Love Sock + 1 Party of Five set of minis and the shawl pattern.
Check these out in person in our Corvallis shop or online today! (Tap the picture or head to our bio to shop the colors)
My feed is finally getting a car selfie 🚗 I just wanted to say hi to all of you. Hi and thank you, for allowing me to dream bigger than many said I should be dreaming 💫Instead of telling me to take my head out of the clouds, you’ve all helped me to put the rest of my body up there too 😊⛅️ It has been such an overwhelmingly incredible experience here in New York City and a huge thank you to the @lionbrandyarn and the rest of the team for making me feel so special and welcome 🦁🏙Being on YouTube in my parents basement 2 1/2 years ago, learning to crochet, and now being where I am today sort of ripples my mini universe in the best of ways. It’s a quiet feeling, but feels so loud. There’s something bigger than me in this world, and without you, I wouldn’t be able to chase it. Thank you everyone, for proving to me that home is where the yarn is 💕
