Hola Lectoresss!
With a coin purse and a horn tied to my hip and a floral crown adorning my head, I charged through the Faire as Yasmin, Bar Wench for the day! 🍻🌺⚔️ This year the #renaissancefaire was amazing!!! This is my first time actually going all out with my costume, and I can’t wait to d it again 😍 I see why people love to #cosplay 😝 it’s totally addicting! I’m thinking of going as a woodland creature next year or a deadly pirate🤔🤫
For those of you who are thinking of trying it out, definitely do it! This experience is always one for the books!😊🌸😘
Also, I bought some new goodies I’ll be showing off later! 😍😜
My previous post is a follow train so don’t forget to go comment and get to know some new friends!
Thank you 🌸🌸🌸
SPOILERS FOR APRIL @owlcrate !!! I absolutely love this box. I adore the pillow case I’m so excited to get it on my bed. The soap smells amazing and I am so excited to use it! The coffee looks really good and the pencils are cute too.
I am so so excited to read this book it really looks amazing and of course I’m intrigued because it’s being compared to Six of Crows 😍. So happy this month great job OwlCrate!!
Whose excited for Sky in the Deep?!?! The wait is almost over and this book is FINALLY hitting shelves on April 24! 🖤⚔️✨⠀⠀
I read this book back in January and LOVED it. Eelyn easily became one of my new favorite badass Viking female MC’s. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀
If you like epic battles, betrayals, rivalries, sibling stories, and maybe a hint of romance you really need this book. Not to mention it had one of the best opening chapters I’ve read in a long time. We’re talking heart pounding, page turning, non-stop action literally from page one!
hey everyone!! how’s your weekend been? has anyone read this book? I thought it looked kind of silly when I first got it, like a rip off of the breakfast club, but as I read it I really really loved it!! it managed to be totally original in the same sort of format, and I loved all the different twists each character took!!
◘ Imagine you live in fear of an intrusion into your physical space, compounded by ostracism exacted by your peers
And your psyche suffers further onslaughts on social media platforms
Such are the risks Millennials face
This novel features dueling male and female narrators, in an unconventional protagonist versus antagonist scenario. The timeline highlights students transitioning from middle school to high school, all set in tropical Singapore. Ranked third in the world behind Latvia and New Zealand for bullying among 15-year-olds by an OECD study in 2015, the sovereign city-state could be replaced by any number of countries in the world for purposes of the plot line. According to the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), the HongKong Special Administrative Region ranks 16th while South Korean students are reputed be the least bullied among the 50 nations surveyed. Part of the proceeds from the book sales will be donated to Kids4Kids Hong Kong and other Asian charities for mental health awareness presentations.
We Come Apart by Sarah Crossan and Brian Conaghan •
This book is a dual narrated story that is told in verse, so it’s a pretty unique read right from the start. These two voices are that of an English school girl with a tough home life, and a Romanian immigrant, so they each have a very distinctive voice. The two meet when they both have to do community service because they are caught stealing. On those points, I thought the book was a really unique, important read, that covers some really heavy topics but is still very quick to get through, due to it being in verse. •
The book raises important issues around racism, and domestic violence but I’m not sure how well it necessarily deals with them? I understand not every story gets neatly wrapped up with a little bow, but I do feel that elements of this story really lacked resolution. •
If you’re intrigued by the idea of novels in verse Hey YA from @bookriot just did a great podcast that makes a bunch of suggestions of YA books in verse. How do you feel about novels in verse? Do you have any favourites? •
Books Twenty Three and Twenty Four: Red Queen and Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard
4/5 ⭐️ for both
I have seen sooo much hype over these series and it honestly made me nervous to read them. What if I hated them? But my little sister @danceh5678 encouraged me to read them and so I borrowed her copies (sorry! I’ll return them, I promise!) and wow. I was not let down. I had known the premise of these books for ages but it never caught me enough to delve in. But once I did, I was hooked. I both love and hate Mare Barrow. I mostly want to punch her, but honestly because she’s too realistic. She’s selfish and inadvertently blind to things and feels so much more real than most YA protagonists. It wasn’t that I disliked her for how stupid she could be but the fact that I felt like I would often make the same choices she would, simply because I too was too blind to see the bigger picture. She isn’t some powerful female character that parades justice and is always doing what’s ‘right’, she’s flawed and idiotic and makes some really, really bad decisions. Things that in the moment are exactly what I would do, but looking back are horribly stupid. She forgets her family at times, and her friends, and can only focus on what is happening right in front of her. How can we expect real teenage girls to keep so many emotions at the same time? We’re only human. and Mare is human to a tee. She’s forgetful, and stupid, but also brave and powerful and convicted when she remembers to be. I love her for that. I am loving this series so far, and I’m halfway through #KingsCage now, so look out for that review soon!

“The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not.” -Erin Morgenstern, The Night Circus ✨
I’m #currentlyreading The Night Circus and I’m mesmerized by the writing. It’s one of the most beautifully written novels?? I’ve ever read?? The world is painted so clearly in my head oh my gosh. Although, I don’t feel terribly connected to the characters yet...I still have awhile to the end though 👌🏻 What are you currently reading? ❤️ -Book Hugger
Hullo happy sunday ☀️ it’s super sunny and warm rn and it’s supposed to get hotter the rest of the week my mood is 👌 I just wanna curl up and take a nap I missed the sun so much.

I wish I could’ve gotten outdoors more today, but rock climbing in a gym is close enough, right?
"About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him-and I didn’t know how potent that part might be-that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.” Stephenie Meyer, Twilight.
It’s Twilight or The Vampire Academy for GeekyGlowReadsFantasy, and I kept going back and forth between the two of them. But in the end, I had to go with my OG Twilight...it was my gateway drug into YA and the only reason I picked up The Vampire Academy in the first place. I’m must confess, I’m still a not so secret Twihard....but Rose and Dimitri are a very close second in terms of vampire themed series, if you’ve never read TVA I definitely recommend doing so!!
Quick side note, yesterday was a tough day, so I failed with likes and comments but I’ll be trying to catch up today. But I did have an amazing three hour phone call with my bestie @harleygordonwrites and it helped lift my spirits immensely.
Day 22 of the #GeekyGlowReadsFantasy challenge - Twilights or The Vampire Academy.
