Still day dreaming of this place. I recently saw a post from another photographer saying how the hike from the bottom up wasn’t worth it. I feel the complete opposite. I get that you spend 4 hours plus trudging up a river just to get to a couple hundred foot section of insanely beautiful canyon, but it’s the fact that it took all that effort that makes it so special. Every spot that I have ever been to that’s a short hike or a quick pull off on the side of the road never has the same impact on you as those that require the extra dedication it takes to get to a place like this. I know one thing for sure and that’s that I’ll definitely be going back here one day, hopefully doing it from the top down though 😉
“If human beings are perceived as potentials rather than problems, as possessing strengths instead of weaknesses, as unlimited rather that dull and unresponsive, then they thrive and grow to their capabilities.”
I love this quote. It helps me remember that there is limitless potential in front of each of us, that we don’t have to be defined by who we once were, and that (no matter who we are) we can grow. And it reminds me to be kind.
