- Cebu, Philippines 🇵🇭
Have to say I wouldn’t particularly recommend spending any long period of time in Cebu City, but if you’re there for a day it’s worth going to here for a day. The Terrazas de Flores botanical garden is located in the northern Busay area, easily accessible by a combination of a jeepney and motorbike taxi. Spanning 2 hectares, the garden contains 127 different kinds of flower and took nearly 7 years to create! It’s a great (and welcome) little escape from the chaos of the city proper. See it, then get out of the city, that’s the best advice I can give!
Tulum is a large pre-Columbian Mayan walled city 🎣 serving as a major port for Cobá, Mexico. And also one of the best-preserved coastal Maya sites.
☀️ Its name was originally Zama, meaning City of Dawn, because it faces the sunrise.
It is younger than Chichen Itza as it was builded between 1200 and 1450.
👣 When I put my first foot on the site, I remember I just felt like "I'm in Jurassic Park!" and then the famous theme song was inside my head for the whole day 😝
