Values alignment is a waste of time, what matters is how you execute your values, and whether you consistently do what is required to build character. If you have a lovely set of values and never action them, you might as well not have values in the first place. If you find values-alignment in a person or organisation you need to make sure that you express those values in the same way, or you are still going to find conflict.
Look for character in others, develop it in yourself and reap the benefit of building resilience, a greater sense of self and a more fulfilling environment around you than simply looking to align something as lightweight as values.
At the JBNProject we have Character-Led programs to help you get your priorities and teams on track for next level impact.

I remember the stress of making my first resume. I ran through so many templates struggling to portray myself properly. I doubted that my final product was good enough, doubted anyone would see my value. Eventually that first interview came, then the offer letter, and soon I found myself gainfully employed. After meticulously curating my resume I applied to a minimum of 20 jobs a day. I followed up with the companies I applied to inquiring as to whether or not my resume had been reviewed yet. Okay Ndaba, what’re you getting at? You can have your breakthrough moment if you don’t skip steps. “Creating the resume” isn’t enough, you’ve got to put in the work. Search high and low for your perfect opportunity. When you find it, secure it. Force that door open, pave your own path. If you’re ready to stop skipping steps leave “I’M DONE” in the comments below!!

And I behold once more
My old familiar haunts; here the blue river,
The same blue wonder that my infant eye
Admired, sage doubting whence the traveller came,—
Whence brought his sunny bubbles ere he washed
The fragrant flag-roots in my father’s fields,
And where thereafter in the world he went.
Look, here he is, unaltered, save that now
He hath broke his banks and flooded all the vales
With his redundant waves.
Here is the rock where, yet a simple child,
I caught with bended pin my earliest fish,
Much triumphing, —and these the fields
Over whose flowers I chased the butterfly,
A blooming hunter of a fairy fine.
And hark! where overhead the ancient crows
Hold their sour conversation in the sky:—
These are the same, but I am not the same,
But wiser than I was, and wise enough
Not to regret the changes, tho’ they cost
Me many a sigh. Oh, call not Nature dumb;
These trees and stones are audible to me,
These idle flowers, that tremble in the wind,
I understand their faery syllables,
And all their sad significance. The wind,
That rustles down the well-known forest road—
It hath a sound more eloquent than speech.
The stream, the trees, the grass, the sighing wind,
All of them utter sounds of ’monishment
And grave parental love.
They are not of our race, they seem to say,
And yet have knowledge of our moral race,
And somewhat of majestic sympathy,
Something of pity for the puny clay,
That holds and boasts the immeasurable mind.
I feel as I were welcome to these trees
After long months of weary wandering,
Acknowledged by their hospitable boughs;
They know me as their son, for side by side,
They were coeval with my ancestors,
Adorned with them my country’s primitive times,
And soon may give my dust their funeral shade.

Being off injured I really wanted to get back on the bike and start winning, lost focus on what is important, fun. Second ride back today and had a ball. Worked and focused on my tech and positioning on the bike, stand up and cornering. Did this corner for an hour today and had a ball. No trophy big enough for what I achieved in my training sesh this morning. Love riding and racing and not going to lie getting low enough that my pegs through this corner today have me a huge smile. Thank you to @ando_100 and @mrsando100 for always showing me that fun feels so much better then pressure , massive thanks to my wife @bethroseriley for always believing in me. Tomorrow is Cessnock and the only position I’m aiming for is to focus on a clean and safe ride. Tech +confidence +speed= end game. @ksf_racing @canvas_mx @rynopower_au @moto_kit @ando_100 @ktmnewcastle @lukebturner @khwco @sleeplesssmilesapparel @pirellimotoaus @acerbis_aus #mx#motorcross#dirtbike#hardwork#progress#wontstop#ksfracing#alpinestars#fmf#protaper#odi#oakley
i believe everything happens for a reason. people change so that you can lead to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right, you believes lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart to better things can fall into place. ✨
