Meet The Writers: “I Hope You Get It”
Brittnay Johnston & Danielle Weisberg

She got her start interning at CONAN, and has since worked as a writers’ room assistant on CONAN, Lucifer (Fox), Angie Tribeca (TBS), and on an upcoming Netflix feature. 🎉Last night my sketch “How to be a Fuckboi” made its debut. It was the first time I’ve ever seen my words come to life and couldn’t be happier it happened at our 86% female staffed show!! Special shoutouts: @yo_megs @brigid.marshall & @cristalbubblin for being the best Fuckboi ladies around. @yazminmonetwatkins for making me take the dang class. && @vivaalavivian for having the LOUDEST and greatest laugh around. 😂😍💃🏾🙌🏾🔥 #Laugh#Sketch#Comedy#WomeninComedy#WeDidThat#FuckBoy#Education
Praying for cannabis to be legal & all those persecuted for weed crimes to have their freedom, their records expunged, & start up funds for their cannabiz.
• "Catholic, which I was until I reached the age of reason."~George Carlin
This is not meant to upset any of my friends that are still Catholic. I fully support your right to practice religion. •
I attended Catholic school most of my life. I even graduated from a Catholic high school that I was not forced to go to, but really wanted to go to. I was taught valuable lessons such as helping others, to treat others with kindness, & to not judge people. In fact the only true "sin" is to be a hypocrite. Not that I believe in sins, but if you are a hypocrite you are a shitty person. Catholicism has this super cool loop hole that no matter what you do, say murder, & you ask for forgiveness you shall be forgiven! •
But I cannot support a religion that allowed children to be abused for decades while they protected sexual predators. I no longer believe that there's an invisible man in the sky. I've replaced religion with crystals 🤷🏻♀️ #throwbackthursday
Julia Louis-Dreyfus (@officialjld) will be awarded the 2018 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at a nationally televised gala this fall, the @kennedycenter announced Wednesday. “Over four decades, her wildly original characters and her gift for physical comedy have left us in stitches,” said Deborah F. Rutter, president of the @kennedycenter.
Louis-Dreyfus became a household name in the 1990s playing Elaine Benes on “Seinfeld.” She went on to star in “The New Adventures of Old Christine” from 2005 to 2010. Two years later, she took on what is widely considered the strongest role of her career: the rather inept Vice President Selina Meyer on @veephbo. You see this beautiful bride here? Yola is one of my besties and one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. Last year we made a web series she wrote and starred in, and it’s so hilarious, weird, and just SO SO SO good! We’ve received a lot of great feedback, and one of our videos has over 8k views on YouTube. 😱 It’s probably NSFW... BUT when you have a few minutes, you should check it out. And you can see me in one of the episodes (hint: 🚽💩). Support your Austin comedians and watch “Uncomfortable” on YouTube. Link in bio. [Photo credit @anindoorlady]
