Monumental morning for me. I brought Ella to crossfit for the first time. 😍A little back story for those who care to hear more about my #crossfit journey:
I dabbled in crossfit years ago while living in Florida and then truly fell in love with it when I started going to @apachecrossfit in Toms River. I was finally starting to feel more confident with the lifts and becoming stronger and faster thanks to their outstanding coaching along with my #determination and #persistence . I was a total fiend and went as much as I could and talked it about it incessantly to anyone who would listen. Then, I got pregnant (she was planned so I knew it was coming lol). Part of me was like, "dang, well there goes my chance of ever making it to the games" lollll (totally kidding). But for real, while I was so stoked to be #pregnant there was also a part of me that was bummed to have to hold back on all that I was learning. I did know that I wanted to do crossfit throughout my pregnancy so I could remain in control of my #health and my #body and have a great #birth experience. I continued to show up and work hard, even hitting a few #prs up until I was around 38+ weeks pregnant. I had big dreams of jumping right back in after Ella was born but sometimes having a kid changes things and your plans don't really go your way. I hit a few classes and then kinda gave it up bc it just wasn't really working with my new life. We moved out of Toms River and I recently made the commitment to myself to start crossfit again. This time at a different, brand new to me box. I was kinda nervous to sign up not knowing how much I'd actually make it there. But I'm determined to make it work bc crossfit gives me life!! Hence the photo: Ella chillen in her stroller while #mama did Cindy. I didn't know how she would behave and if I would even get a good workout in but she let me finish my 20 minutes of humbling Cindy and I'm pretty sore already.
I thought I had that third rep in the bag but I guess not! I’m enjoying my last couple of weeks training chest and upper body so my new goal is 135x5 by end of May 🌸
Ladies - don’t skip out on your upper body workouts. You’re not gonna get “toned arms” by fucking around with the 5lbs halfheartedly doing curls staring at your ass in the mirror.
Tie your hair up, get on the floor, knock out some push-ups, dips and pull-ups (even if they are assisted!) and stop kidding yourself! .
PS. I did ask for a spot on my next set. I’d rather be safe and smart than strong and stupid 🤷🏻♀️ #practicesafesets

Do this with a partner if you can. Doing this by yourself is another monster. My mind was telling me to quit after the first 10 deadlifts smh. BUT I FINISHED!
