I made it a goal for myself to listen to my body the past two months and continue patterns that made me feel great and quit what made me feel lousy. I had to stop drinking because no matter the kind or how little I did, I would wake up feeling horrific. Three weeks so far and I feel amazing. I love drinking but my body doesn’t. I tried every trick in the book to not feel bad after—nothing worked except stopping. I also have made myself breakfast every day (no more DD) for similar reasons. I feel better. I’ve been doing boot camp, aerial silks, and the gym while only eating food I cook except cheat day. I don’t care what the scale says, I care what I see and how I feel. So far I feel better in a month than how I felt the majority of 2017. Do what makes you feel good, quit the shit that doesn’t 🤸🏼♀️ I’m 29 and too old for bad vibes. OhfuckingKAY today was NOT easy. So first I did 3 sets of 210 x 5 SSB, then I did 4 sets of 390 x 3 on the trap bar which is the heaviest I’ve ever gone on that movement and by the second one I was like whoa guys (last set of both aforementioned movements shown) then I did four damned Swiss bar sets of 4 with 165. So Trevor wants me to die and what he doesn’t seem to understand is I’m already dead inside so he can’t really kill me any more. 4 sets of 245 x 4 squat and 4 sets 365 x 3 sumo block pulls. I think these are the last 2 sets of each movement. Trying to use my quads when I squat is literally throwing me off balance. Went in there today pretty stressed out, it sort of feels like lifting is one of few things I can count on to not fuck me over right now. Like even when my arm busted I could work with that. Also the rack I’m squatting out of is too high for me and the lower setting is way too low so that’s why I went high bar.
