A few shots of my Mother's Day trip to the Narcisse Snake Dens. A late spring from Mother Nature did not cooperate with reservations and planning made months beforehand and only hundreds of snakes rather than many thousands had emerged from the dens during my visit. It was still a good trip, saw a few snake mating balls and I can imagine the craziness during peak emergence. Overall a great vacation to Manitoba's Interlake region.
Propaganda is a soft weapon; hold it in your hands too long, and it will move about like a snake, and strike the other way(Jean Anouil > French dramatist). Pic by >>> @muslim72724
Did you know: King cobras can reach 18 feet in length, making them the longest of all venomous snakes.
This is a video of a snake being killed and I’ve added a warning first that lasts for 7 seconds before the video starts playing.
This footage shows RnB star @TreySongz senselessly killing a #Snake on his porch when he could have just called wildlife control to safely relocate the snake instead 💔😢 .
Fear, dislike or misunderstanding of wild animals is not a reason to kill them. I guarantee that snake was more scared of him than he was of the snake.
This video isn’t in the media at all. Nobody is aware of it. It’s just something that was posted to someone’s IG story for 24 hours but I really hope it gets attention so that Trey can be held accountable because senselessly killing animals is NOT OK. Just leave them alone. RIP snake 🐍😞 .

It was a great visit to the red sided garter snake statue in Inwood, Manitoba. The two snakes are called “S-s-sam” and “S-s-sara”. “S-s-sam” is approximately 25 feet long and “S-s-sara” is approximately 29 feet long. The base of the statue is granite and limestone rocks. To my surprise the base of the statue was crawling with snakes. I was able to sneak up on one to catch it before it could retreat into the cracks. The red sided garter snake denning area starts around Inwood and extends north to around Gypsumville. Snakes can be seen by the thousands emerging from their dens in May of each year with the highest concentration at the Narcisse Snake Dens. Cracks in the limestone allow them to get below the frost line. I saw many dead snakes on highway 229, but special fences and culverts help give them safe passage in many areas.
Why do children always leave their dirty clothes on the ground! 😂😂 I think my “Monty” has some new clothes but he’s somewhere in my garage now as I found this hanging from the rafters. 🐍 It’s pretty much his full skin... 2.3m ...... geebers he’s getting a big bugger now. .
He keeps the mice away and he’s very docile! Yes, I have a ‘pet’ wild snake that lives in my yard.
