Yesterday I had a time trial for the glacier climbing course I’m in. To pass I had to make it up to Camp Muir in under 5 hours. My personal goal was 4 hours, and I honestly wasn’t sure that was possible for me. That being said, I wasn’t about to fail myself without trying. Once the lead instructor gave us the okay to split up, I gave it everything I had and finished at 3 hours and 52 minutes, passing my time trial and crushing my personal goal. If I’ve learned anything through this course it’s that I can do almost anything in life if I’m willing to work hard enough at it. I spent most of my life plagued by the words “I can’t” and never bothered to try because I always expected to fail. Over the last few years, I decided it was time to banish those words from my vocabulary and start believing in myself. There is no longer “I can’t,” just “I can’t YET.” After all, good things don’t come to those who wait, good things come to those that work their asses off and never give up 💪 #osat#mtrainiernp#mountraniernps#mtrainiernationalpark#campmuir
Visited Tahoe this past weekend and watched the tourists posing on rocks for their Insta posts. Lots of work to document their “experience” but didn’t seem to stop and experience it. I’m all about getting a good shot but set that phone/camera down and take time to enjoy the scenery as well. 🌲🏔💚 #tahoesnaps#tahoelife
Another beautiful day in Colorado ~ После нашей поездки в Колорадо смело могу заявить, что Юта намного красивее 🙈 и ещё мы очень избалованы нашими парками 😊 заехали в несколько национальных парков в Колорадо и не знали как такое могли назвать «национальным», парком штата ещё да, но вот чтобы до уровня страны поднять, фиг знает или мы явно замравшись будем 😬 В Колорадо мне понравились именно горные городки, напомнили Австрию и Швейцарию, а вот с парками и прочими монументами какая-то беда, хотя я уже не знаю чем меня можно удивить, пожив в Калифорнии, на Гавайях и в Юте, даже прекрасные места не вызывают «wow”, поэтому мне так хочется на Аляску и Новую Зеландию, судя по фото и видео там прям очень круто. А куда у вас мечта отправиться?
Life is busy, we all have a lot going on and a lot on our minds constantly. When I’m outside in places like this, all those things seem to fade away. Nothing else matters but that moment you’re in.✨ 📷 @andrewnoice
Day 2: Blackjack to Airport in the Sky (2 miles)
Quietness. Kamil was a bit ahead of me.
I was focused on my feet- scanning for snakes, poison oak, and just trying to breathe.
I look up and I’m about 40 feet away from a herd of 3 bison. Not exactly a safe distance.
I freeze for a moment and then call out to Kamil. He stops, turns around as if annoyed (lol) and I point to what’s in front of me.
I start cutting across the field, fuck the trail. And he tells me to get out my bear spray just in case. Who knows if that would even effect them but better than nothing.
Took a few pics once at a semi safe distance and I got my heart rate under control.
Made it to the airport 15 min before the restaurant opened. Took a 💩 in a regular toilet.
Ordered breakfast burritos and to-go veggie burritos for later. #hikerhunger#hikertrash
Leia and I have decided to start training for a half marathon🐾 whew! Let the journey begin #MyRollDog#dogismyrunningcoach
I am always looking for ways to bond with my dogs and enhance their lives. They give me so much joy and I want to make sure I do the same for them. It is truly miraculous what we have brought each other through. --
Leia and I run together about three times a week currently and it's a lot of fun. Through running with her I've been able to correct some of her leash behavior and it wears us both out. I know she'll be excited for this new training routine. We'll keep you updated, check out the blog - Link in bio
