Some days you just need a little help to make it through the day. Monday you came full force today and I wasn't quite ready for you.
But I have my oils, I've done my workout and ate some food. Now we shall continue on.
Every. Single. Monday. 😂 But for real, how can I have it ALL done & there another entire basket a day later. Spring with layers isn’t going to make laundry any easier either! (side note: I’m grateful for my babes who give me laundry to do 🤪) 💜 #laundryneverends#boysdontcare#wehavealotofclothes
Sometimes you need someone to hold you up and give you that extra support. That’s exactly what coaches do. During the end of a hard workout yesterday we were in a bonus round and told to hold a squat until the trainer told us to quit. We were struggling and my coach reached out and grabbed my hands and we helped each other stay strong to finish. We are always stronger TOGETHER and I’m so thankful that I’m not on this journey alone. If you need support my door is always open and I would love to have you join me. My next online health group has a few spots remaining and if you’d like your name added please send me a message or comment below! 😘
So thankful for this man! It’s been 1 month since our miscarriage and he truly has been so amazing and supportive through it all. I am beyond grateful for him. -
A couple of weeks ago we went to my OB to check for fibroids. -
I endured a lengthy transvaginal sonogram (tmi?) while he and Jaxson were in the waiting room. Once it was over we all waited a short while to see my OB. My anxiety level was pretty high. I always try to keep a positive mind but fear was creeping in. What would she say? What if I need surgery? What if we can’t have anymore kids? #somanythings -
Marc grabbed my hands and said let’s pray. And almost immediately, peace came over me. In that moment....he knew what I needed to calm me down. Men that pray over their wives is sexy #amiright ☺️ 🙌🏾
Ok back to the story lol- My OB came in the room and she said, “you were worried girl? Everything looks fine!” 😅 she did show us the sono which she said shows multiple fibroids BUT they are small and not an issue AND don’t require intervention!!!! God is so good! Although we don’t have answers as to WHY I miscarried, at least we know I am healthy otherwise and we have hope for our future ❤️
Wives, Husbands, Husbands & Wives... it's going down... I'm excited to launch a new FB group experience for those who want to be intentional about changing things in their marriage!
No fluff. Real talk.
Let's do this!
Spent my lunch break at the grocery store getting everything I needed to meal prep tonight! I’m actually pretty excited about how simple this week is going to be while still getting to eat the foods I love!
Tips for a successful grocery trip:
- Make a list & stick to it!
- Stay on the outside aisles so that you are getting the healthier, more nutritional items!
- Before you shop, go through your cabinets and see what items you already have that you could use! No sense in racking up your grocery bill!
- Last but NOT least get those coupons ready!!! Does anyone else coupon like crazy!? #teamcommittofit 💪🏼💕
Had to share this text from my 65 year old Mom. She saw me loving my workouts so she asked what I was doing. She's now done a few 21 day challenges and today is her day 1 with our 80 day group! 🤗 This goes to show that it's NEVER too late to take control of your health and it's never too late to enjoy exercising and getting stronger!! My mom is a strong, kick-ass woman 💪🏼👊🏼 I guess that's where I get it from 🤷♀️so if you've been on the fence about starting and been coming up with reasons (aka excuses) for why you "can't", just stop right now ✋ #yesyouCAN#nevertoolate#nomoreexcuses#workingoutcanbefun#ageisjustanumber
It is so much easier to only show the highlight reel of our life but to get REAL and be vulnerable is HARD! When God says do it though, we can bet He’s got a plan. So it’s, “suck it up buttercup” and get to obeying. Haha. Mamas, wives...grab your coffee or tea and click the link in my bio a safe place to do some relating and REAL talk! #britpennel#moms#marraige#life#obedience#blogger#beautifulchaos#wifelife#christlife

🌟Team Fit With Joy🌟
If you have been following me for a while, then you might have seen my team name before, but I haven’t told you guys WHY I chose that name. .
When I speak about my transformation story, a big piece for me is my energy and confidence level. Leaving graduate school I gained 20 pounds, started working full time (which I had never done before) and eating fast food most days of the week. I wasn’t exercising, I didn’t like one of the schools I was working at and I wasn’t taking care of myself. It was more than just the weight gain for me, I was exhausted all the time, I didn’t want to do anything and I did the same thing each day waiting for the school year to be over. .
After months of living like that each day, I tried my first at home workout program and began to feel much better. It’s amazing what fueling your body will do for your mental state. Since then I have been making choices to be a better person, wife, friend, daughter and counselor every day. .
When thinking about my team name, I thought about why I started my health and fitness journey in the first place, to get my JOY back. .
The physical changes in my body are great (my clothes fit better and who doesn’t want that?!) but I have an energy I haven’t had in a long time and I FEEL better than ever. Team Fit With Joy is about being fit and healthy but more importantly getting your happy back. .
“But isn’t it hard to leave your kids?!” Honestly, this trip was just what I needed. What we needed.
For this Mother, it was just the right amount of time for a mental break. The chance to unwind and not think about packing lunches, folding laundry (three girls = allllllll the laundry), breaking up arguments of who had what first... and everything in between.
It’s always hard to leave them but it’s something that we’ve realized helps us grow stronger as a couple and individually as well. And hiding in the pantry eating their leftover Easter candy isn’t really a vacation 😂
There’s a reason why I’ve fallen in love with getting up before my kids and getting in a workout. It gives me mental clarity and gives me energy to parent them with a little less stress and anxiety.
There’s a reason why I love this business so much. It connects me with so many other amazing women who sometimes just want adult conversation, to laugh over a glass of wine, to feel stronger, healthier, and accepted.
There’s a reason why I work so hard sometimes late at night, early mornings, so I can take us on trips like this. To reconnect with each other. To create amazing memories and adventures. And to celebrate what we’ve accomplished too.
Moms, it’s important to put ourselves first; it’s not selfish. Wives, it’s important to make time with our spouses outside of parenting. We’re spending the rest of our lives with this one person, it’s important to make our relationship a priority, right?
Where were sad to leave such a beautiful place, it was the perfect amount of time for us, for me, to take a break from work, family chaos, and get back to us.
But now we’re ready to get back to them. ❤️ #motherhood#mommyblogger#parenting#vacaymode#fitmommyashley#backtoreality#marriage#husbandandwife#motherhoodmoments#girlmom#momof3#paradise#wifelife#marriagegoals
Big Day Today! Exciting Day Today! I am pretty pumped!! Starting two BIG Awesome journeys today!... #1 : Beginning a new Bible study today - will be diving into a 90 day study of the life of St. Paul. I am a big fan of this hero of my faith and I am looking forward to learning more about his deep commitment to Christ. Best part....I am commencing the study with some dear friends and fellow Team Fierce, Fit and Faithful Teammates - there is power in accountability in fellowship!! #2 : Beginning Round 2 of 80 Day Obsession today! Yup, the workout calendar is up on the fridge and it is a "blank slate"! Obviously, I loved the Program the first-time-around and NOW I am READY to jump in again and push myself to even greater heights! With this FIERCE commitment, I am expecting greater lean muscle gains & definition and greater fat loss. I am committed to taking things to the NEXT LEVEL in Round 2 and will be sharing this journey with you again. (In fact, I am heading over to UNM here in a bit to have the "real-deal" official testing done to gauge my body composition (did you know alumni can do that for super cheap?)...then, I'll go back at the end of the Program and repeat the tests so as to get a FULL view on the forward progress I'm making in honoring my body for Christ and in my quest to be my Fittest in my Forties!!)....Can you tell I'm a little excited!
Here's to new journeys and new beginnings!
A Wife of noble character is her Husband's crown, but a disgraceful Wife is like decay in His bones.-Proverbs 12:4
"Last week was a long busy draining week...we both where tired and frustrated. It seemed as if we where playing a push and pull game all week requiring so much of each other to balance the pressure of outside life. I was just ready to tap out...Hubby realized it and supported me in a little me time this weekend (hair, nails, eyebrows, girltime beach trip). I was grateful. It's good to know we are playing for the same team." "Jeans X T-Shirts"
