With the right sizes for an Instagram photo, it still fails me quite often😅😁.. but I did not want to withhold it from you after a short thought, because it was so good and that what it's all about! So...what's in this half plate? Stuffed vegetables (I would take millet best or as an alternative full grain couscous) with spinach, sprouts and raw vegan garlic mayonnaise made from cashews, lemon juice, oil, garlic, salt&pepper.That simple! Gefülltes Gemüse ( Ich würde am ehesten Hirse oder alternativ Vollkorn Couscous nehmen) mit Jungspinat, Sprossen und roher veganer Knoblauchmayonaise aus Cashewkernen, Zitronensaft, Öl, Salz, Pfeffer und Knoblauch. So einfach! Sprouted Wheat Sourdough sandwich loaf.
100% sprouted whole wheat, (organic red and white hard wheat) milled right before mixing. The smell in my kitchen is heavenly -sprouting lends a sweet, malt flavor to the dough. Will take a photo of interior at breakfast tomorrow.
One of my favourites things to make these days is this flaky, buttery, rough puff #tourtière dough. It always starts as a giant, shaggy pile, but as I roll butter and flour together a dough slowly comes to life. So satisfying and meditative all at once ✨

Whole grains are a great source of fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. They also help reduce the risk for heart disease, diabetes and obesity. .
So what can you do to get more whole grains in your diet? Choose foods that have “whole grain” as the first ingredient instead of white grains (white bread, rice and crackers). And try to have 6-8 servings of whole grains per day! 🌾

I thought there was no hope for this loaf: a day-long rest (autolyse) after first mixing, and then overkneaded to get the starter in & more water in. But hey, it was the second tallest out of any I've made. 😅 Been reading up a ton about whole wheat baking so I can get it just right for you guys. My normal recipe is about 1/3 whole wheat and it works great, but my customers deserve healthier choices 🌾🌾🌾🌾🌾 Let me know if you want me to make anything especially for you this week.
50% whole wheat. Bran pre-soaked, then mixed in for the autolyse (I might try after next time). Baked at 500°F for 15 min, 470° for 10 min, 450° for 10. I'm a bit scared to get that blackened crust in the name of cooking everything on the inside--still getting a feel for this dough. Obviously, I tried to combine a lot of techniques. 😅😅 I'll have to admit this is addicting. Will try again ASAP.

Nothing crazy. Nothing expensive. Just good, clean food. Some of you are seasoned real-food chefs who know all about soaking grains, natural sweeteners, and making your own yogurt. You probably have your very own egg-lady who supplies you with eggs from her free-ranging, grass-and-bug-eating chickens. 🐓
Some of you are contemplating making these or using good ol’ Bisquick. A lot of us land somewhere in the middle.🤷🏻♀️ So this recipe is for all of us. If you like soaking grains, soak ’em. If you use white flour, use that instead. Each variation yields slightly different results, but the point of this recipe is this: enjoy some pancakes.
