Alright everyone - long post coming at yah about my @whole30 experience. 
I really started because my friend @cnnmeyers was starting. I had heard about it before but honestly thought it would be impossible. I love cheese, I love bread, I also love sugar, the voice in my head said you are never going to be able to do this. You have a kid, businesses to run, you’re too busy. But 30ish days later I am so glad I said yes and embarked on my #Whole30 journey. •
Main takeaways I learned throughout the process. —> Focus on what you CAN have rather than on what you CAN’T 
Not only is this good advice for Whole30, also a good motto for life. Once I started finding recipes with things that were #whole30approved I didn’t feel like I was missing out on foods that weren’t allowed. (Except on Easter, not having #cadburyeggs was a struggle) —> I didn’t have to count calories
This was huge for me. I hate counting calories as it brings me back to a dark place in my life when I had an eating disorder. I have the type of personality that tends to go overboard and become obsessive, hence the eating disorder. However, with Whole30 you just eat real food 3x per day, with snacks, if you work out. You are eating to fuel your body not for comfort or to combat stress or anything else. There are guidelines on the amount of carbs, protein, fat to eat every day, and I would say I stuck to it for the most part, but when I didn’t, it didn’t cause me anxiety, which with my eating disorder past, was huge. —> I have SO much energy
Most people that know me know that I am a fairly energetic person. So to say that I had even MORE energy on Whole30 is kinds crayyy. On Whole30, I slept better, and because of that I had even more energy to take on the day. Also, when you aren’t eating crap you gain a lot of energy, too. I feel focused, less moody, and happier. I am a fairly driven person and I felt even more compelled to get sh*! done. My workouts were better. I could push harder and recover faster. I was more flexible during stretch and experienced less joint pain.

So I use it with my carrier oil to make it last as long as possible. 😎

Copiaba: I love this oil for redness! It’s so earthy and mellow! Just a few drops on the palms of your skin smoothed over your face will calm it right down. It’s such a crowd pleaser. 💆🏼 Lemon: my favorite, go-to oil for blemishes! 🍋
Just a drop on each one and they’re noticeably smaller in the morning. Fantastic for lightening dark spots. Just remember that it’s photosensitive which means you don’t want to go out in direct sunlight after applying it! ☀️ I am getting ready to try out the ART Toner & ART Masque that YL offers so I’ll report back and let you know how those go. But in the meantime, lavish your skin with some love and let me know how it likes it! 💕

I had a grilled burger and carrots and passed on the bun, milk, chips & push pop. And then had a cutie and some nuts when I got back to my class.

This breakfast 😍😍😍 2 eggs on top of a skillet mix of:
•1 small potato, diced
•1/2 green pepper, diced
•Tablespoon of diced onion • 2 mushrooms, diced
•small handful of spinach

Sautéed those ingredients in my cast iron skillet with coconut oil.
Then I added 1 Tablespoon of Wholy Guacamole on top and had 2 slices of Welshire farms no sugar bacon on the side 😋😋 Easily my favorite breakfast of the week ☺️ #whole30 #goodfood #breakfast #eggsandbacon #potatoes #castironcooking #eathealthy #fitmom #fitfam #feelinggood

We went to the Heat game last night so I figured, let’s do a healthier version of stadium food.  Sweet potato fries seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic powder in the oven at 425 and turned when they start to burn.  And @littlebitsof_realfood garlic pistachio crusted chicken tenders.  These were super tasty and a good alternative if you want to make a chicken tender without any kind of flour.  She also has a recipe on her site for regular whole30 tenders that I love.  Had these with some @tessemaes ketchup & bbq sauce 😋

Taco 1. Sautéed mushrooms & onions + topped with 1 fried egg + avo + @imperfectproduce baby tomatoes + @heatandflavor in an almond flour @sietefoods tortilla. 
Taco 2. 1/2 a serving of Banana eggs (1 🍌 + 2🥚+ vanilla + chia + cinnamon ) topped with @maranathanutbutters almond butter + @cocobynuco coco cereal + More coconut flakes + 🍓,🍌, blueberries, grapes! In a cassava & coconut @sietefoods tortilla!

I had already dropped around 15 lbs from 205 when I got back in the gym to train for the Livestrong Challenge in August of last year. After my ride in October, my weight started creeping back up even though I continued to work out 4-5 days per week. @tracydbailey convinced me to do Whole30 with her two months ago and the result have been amazing! The red dot on the chart below is where I was when we started #whole30 .  You can see the significant weight loss, but the bigger benefit to me is that it has resolved some chronic stomach issues I've been suffering through for the last 7 years. @whole30 @livestrong @ragbrai

During my other rounds I was never able to get my hands on  #whole30compliant bacon 😭 Now I live in an area with a store five minutes away that carries it! Since my surgery I haven’t felt like eating much- that means we have lots of our freezer meals still in the freezer that we were supposed to eat this week. My kids spent the whole week with my parents so I could rest and hubby just followed my lead food wise. I’ve been consuming my body weight in bone broth- it’s just so delicious and soothing on my sore throat from the breathing tube! That’s ok though because that just means that we have tons of meals still in the freezer to be used for this coming week or at a later date or we have full meals ready for when we have guests over and that is A-OK in my book! But today, I wanted something different. Something kind of plain but still good and easy on my stomach. So, I whipped up these and they were delicious! I used my Simple Tuna Salad recipe and made little wraps with Living Lettuce leaves. Topped each one with salt and pepper, tomatoes and onions and it was just the kind of lunch I was looking for! Added in cooked shredded chicken and garnished with 0.5 oz sour cream/ coconut cream and 0.25 oz pumpkin seeds ( together equals a fat serving) and some fresh cilantro. Buffalo chicken soup 😋

I generally think any marketing campaigns aimed at children is a hit below the belt but let's start with junk food first 🤷🏼‍♀️. Nutrient dense diet is crucial at young age and currently children are being bombarded with this sort of ads on tv screens, billboards and bus stops which undermines messages parents try so hard to put in place. The more junk food they see, the more they crave it! Currently the only blocker is covering their eyes! 👀🤦🏼‍♀️ Let's make some noise beautiful people, we need the government to step in.
