One the things we love about visiting a new city is exploring the Children's Museum. If you have one in your city or a neighboring city, Take Your Kids There !!!! .
I get a LOT of questions about what curriculum we are using right now with the boys and the answer is NONE. This is our curriculum. The boys are learning through role play and practicing real life situations everywhere we go.
E: Aiden your pizza is $12.
A: Okay, let me get my card to pay. (Mom, can I have your card please. The pizza is only $12)
They are learning every minute of the day through play. So don't worry if all your kids want to do is play, especially at this age as it is normal and should be encouraged.
. "Children learn as they play. More importantly, in play, children learn how to learn" - Fred Donaldson
-[Tip: If you can, get a membership with one of them. With that you'll be able to get discounted rates to other children's museums in the network. They'll provide you with a list]
Which one has been your kids favorite so far? For us, the one in Vegas for sure. 3 floors of non stop fun!! -----
Do you take items from home for a trip or a day outing to keep the kids entertained? .
I always find I have great intentions to arrange this, but it’s normally the last detail on the packing list and therefore gets forgotten or left off due to time restrictions. When I heard of Very Busy Bags I loved the concept, as it is a versatile activity pack filled with exciting toys and crafts that would keep my girls engaged and occupied.
We recently took our Very Busy Bags to the Sunshine Coast. The girls loved their portable carry bag filled with new toys, and crafts.
You can find out more about them from my product review on the website - link in bio for a look! #gifted#verybusybag
Traveling with my children is not difficult (they do have their moments of tantrums) because they just pretend to be explorers, around the world to let you know where you should go next.
Lately they want to know more Italian words. They ask meaning of words that comes to mind and they try to say some phrases.
I feel blessed that God allows me to travel the world with my loved ones. Dreams do come true so don't doubt what you pray for, believe even in the impossible because it's possible to God. If it's pleasing to our Saviour He will answer just at the right time. #godisgood#faithalone#toiworldliving#pixel_kids
This is the entrance to our lovely accommodation in Hanoi. As the little sign says, it was called ‘Hanoi Sweet Family Homestay’ and it really did live up to its name! The sweetest family- a mama and 3 year old daughter duo. If you’re looking for luxury then this isn’t for you. But if you want to experience the hospitality of an amazing Vietnamese family then get yourselves booked in. We paid $20 a night for a family room (sharing a bathroom); the room was super clean and beds super comfy. It’s a short walk from the old town but not amidst the craziness! .
On our last night they invited us to dinner and then drove us to the train station (both no charge). This special family really made our stay in Hanoi 💕🇻🇳

In #HWK55 Snezana and family (@bigkiss.travel) discover the joys of disconnecting to reconnect at @maloloislandresort in #Fiji . You can read their story in the latest issue and watch this for their trip to #ModrikiIsland . Does it look familiar? Well, it was the island where the movie #Castaway with Tom Hanks was filmed! 😍

As I'm always getting requests from readers to share my travel itinerary, I have decided to publish our 5D4N Bangkok itinerary on my blog. A lot of thought and research went into creating this itinerary as we were travelling with children as well as my in laws. Trust me that there is a good mix of eating, sightseeing and shopping recommendations! *Link in profile* Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions too! 🤗 #thechewyslovebkk2018
When I got back from our travels I was feeling sluggish, overtired and just wanting to go back to Israel and Italy.
I initially blamed it on too much driving, less walking and too much good food eating in both countries.
But on Monday I finally googled it and it's a condition. "post-travel depression (PTD) is a type of mood that persons returning home from a long trip (usually a vacation) may experience."
I now realize that I do have this sensation after each travel but this time it was harder because it was emotionally high to be in Israel and then Italy.
I'm glad I found out about this because I can now start preparing myself mentally prepare for when August is here, the sabbatical year is over and we have to go back to our everyday life in Canada. (That will be the right moment to get lost in all the photos I'm taking, I'll finally start documenting our sabbatical abroad properly)
Have you ever experienced post-travel depression? #mentalhealth#posttraveldepression
Visited the kaiyukan. It's near the Osakako station. It's so impressive. My fav is the whale shark. There is also a petting area where you can touch sting rays and baby sharks 🦈 If you plan to visit Legoland, make sure you pick up a discount voucher from kaiyukan first. Save ¥200 pp!
I really love my daughter, really. But I'm just gonna get it out there, 3.5 years old is tough. She's busy, she's stubborn, she has strong opinions and wants us to follow. There I said it!
Looking back at traveling with her when she was 12 months, 18months, even 24? A breeze. 3.5 years?? We may be in trouble. I'll hold the baby brother, she may be hanging with her dad a lot on this next trip 😉 ...............
What's your favorite age to travel with and the less spoken of LEAST favorite age?
Our week is off to a flying start! 🍌😄 Do you know of Sea World on the Gold Coast? It’s packed with family entertainment including a new Paw Patrol on Holiday show for the kids. There are lots of marine life encounters, and now with it's amazing attraction Nickelodeon Land, packed full of rides designed for even the younger children, it is somewhere the whole family can enjoy.
The kids are going back to school tomorrow whoohoo!! I will miss them but my house has taken a beating so I can’t wait to give it a good clean & tidy tomorrow!
It’s also really nice to have a photo of my boys to put up on my grid. They’re not a big fan of having their photo taken (so you probably all thought I only had Florence) but they didn’t mind taking in this view so I could snap away.
What’s in store for you guys next week? Anything more exciting than cleaning? #sharewithnext
When you party all night sometimes you’ve just gotta catch up on some shut eye 😴 even if it means missing out on all the beautiful architecture Hanoi has to offer 🤷🏼♀️
Buenos Dias Passporters ☀️ @elisabrowntravel here and I am still in Punta Cana. We said goodbye this morning to Tortuga Bay and have checked into the ridiculously gorgeous @edenroccapcana 🙌🏻

‘West is best, East is a beast’...so they say. But let’s just talk about jet lag when you have young children in tow. Travelling west kills me with the 3am wake ups (yes New York I’m looking at you). I love travelling to Asia for the 1am bedtimes and lie ins until noon alone! Hanoi is the perfect spot to be a night owl. The old town is so full of life and the night market is definitely worth a visit. So any exhausted parents of early risers out there? My advice is find somewhere 6 hours ahead and book those flights. .
We opted for a bicycle ride home after this long night of exploring 🚲
Any other lovers of jet lag Eastern style out there?!
Part of our LA fun this week included a stay in Santa Monica. Our B &B had beach cruisers we could borrow so we rode all around! There is a long bike path that runs along the beach and additional trails through parks and designated bike paths on the streets. The pier has rides and carnival-like stands. Santa Monica also has great shopping and restaurants! Have you been?
Our Israeli friends came to greet us with smiling balloons.
Our children, four in total, were meeting pretty much for the first time. Two of them were two and four years old, the other two were less than one year old and just an unknown baby in my womb when we last saw each other.
However, we shared meals together and talked without awardkness. Friendship doesn't allow time and space to separate its connection.
