I’ve been struggling. I have had pain in my knee on and off for several months and decided to sit out on exercising. I need to focus more on cleaning up my diet to reach my goals. It’s always a journey. #weightlossjourney
My husband and I stay at the Hilton every once in a while and will dine in the lounge while we are there, tonight I opted for way better choices than my usual of the grilled sirloin with veggies, mashed potatoes and rolls with butter... Add 2-3 margaritas with that and maybe even sometimes we would splurge and order sweet chili wings to share as an appetizer. Checking the menu calories for everything I mentioned puts me alone in at anywhere from 1600-2115 depending on how many margaritas I would have or if we ordered the appetizer! 😱 Tonight I chose water instead of margaritas, grilled salmon, rice, veggies and a salad with vinaigrette over the usual. Calories ended up being 830 for my meal, but that is perfectly fine with me because I ordered healthier options, had a salad for lunch and missed breakfast!
No one is perfect in this world and we all have our own struggles. My biggest struggle is my weight. I don’t know why I’m so hard on myself, but when I’m not comfortable in my own skin, everything else around me becomes uncomfortable. It’s something that’s hard to explain, because I know in my own mind that I’m not overweight, but it’s more about how I see myself.
I don’t have an eating disorder, and I’ve never had one, but I have been on some crazy diets in my life, ones that make no sense, and are very silly!!! I’m older and much wider now about the things I do to stay in shape, and one of those, is trying to eat food that comes fresh out of the ground, rather than a factory.
I don’t eat any kind of meat, I eat mainly plant based, and currently I’m trying to cut down on the minimal dairy that I consume. However I don’t want to label myself a vegan. I actually don’t want to label myself anything, I want to be able to make choices that suit me, and that feel good for my body.
As most of you know I’ve been on a nutritional cleansing programme for the last 5 weeks and I’m still on it. I’m 6 kilos down and feel so happy. It’s not even about the actual weight, it’s more about how it makes me feel.... and finally I’m falling in love with myself again.
I’ve stopped drinking alcohol, I’ve stopped eating processed foods, and I’ve started exercising a lot more. Still can’t do a strong yoga class due to my recent back injury, but slowly I’ll get back to it.
I wanted to share this with all of you because I know a lot of woman struggle with their weight, and it’s hard for others to understand unless they are in your body.
Do what feels good for you, but please don’t do silly diets. Eat healthy food, non processed, buy organic veggies, drink lots of water, and be good to yourself. -

Dinner! We had some leftover airfried BBQ chicken from yesterday so I had it with a salad (with tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, feta & dill) and air fried brussel sprouts (with Turkey bacon and mushrooms) 😍🤗🥗
Another great supplement I take Liquid Chlorophyll - World Choice brand available on Amazon. This is great for my ppl who are really picky about veggies and don’t eat enough of them. Add a cap or two into your smoothie, juice or water.
Today I decided to do fitness benders 1000 calorie workout! And in honor of the challenge I thought I should finally wear my fitneasblender t shirt! I havnt worn it because its always been a bit snug but today it fit great!! Another NSV for the win. I needed it today as well because I know I over ate last week but clothing fitting better is a great way of realising its not that bad.
And I nailed it! I really enjoyed this workout. The HIIT was a great length, I always love strength training and abs are a great way to wind down. I missed @kellisegars but known she has personal reasons for not getting involved (hugs thinking of you). So the rest of the day is a bit of baking and hopefully a lunch out and a walk with a friend. Loving it!!
