Sometimes people like to make this fitness thing a little too complicated. If you make forming these habits a priority (especially the coffee😉☕️), then they will add up in the long-run and leave you with some incredible results.

It's for men AND women, and will make a huge difference in helping you become lean and stay lean long term, with healthy levels of body fat.

Yes we do have a great variety of land animals to chose between BUT the variety in fish is SO MUCH greater. These are just 6 examples of readily available and affordable fish and as you can see. If you’re after lean, high protein meat, try tuna, or meat high in healthy fat, try smoked mackerel. Whatever your nutritional goals, fish have got the answer. 
Plus, whereas the fat that we get from land dwelling animals is still an essential part of our diet, fish contain long chain omega 3 fatty acids. Not only are they ‘brain food’ as a lot of us know, but they’re also incredibly good for your heart, they’ve also been proven to help with joint pain and even depression!

If they are selling you anything as a detox (pills, juices, cleanses, teas) it's basically a scam. If your body didn't already have a way to deal with toxins (your kidneys, lungs & liver) you would already be dead from Toxicity! Or at least be a mutant of some kind with special powers. 😂

They are not wrong in saying that the body is full of toxins. Of course the body has toxins; toxins are the result of pollution⛽️, alcohol consumption🍺, pesticides on food🥗, and even the remnants from the digestion of food🙀. However, if toxins built up in your body without being continually excreted, then they would build up to the point of your death🤔🤢🤒 #IOnceAlmostDiedFromTequila #TrueStory

The Bottom Line is that detox cleanses are a big scam🤥🙄🐍. They sell because people love to believe that there is something wrong with their bodies that THEY can fix. Lying to people and selling them $100 a week cleanse packages is an outright SCAM🐍. It’s false profit (and might I add a billion dollar industry now..). Side note: I'm a firm believer in antioxidant rich foods, proper hydration, and omegas to help prevent/reduce oxidative damage and scavenge free radicals

✅ BEEF: very rich in protein and healthy fats (saturated and mono-insaturated). Includes a variety of essential minerals such as sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium, as well as creatine. Very powerful muscle building source, but can be a pain for fat loss because the 15% beef is highly caloric. You can always go for the extra lean version (5%) if you're in a caloric deficit.⠀⠀

✅ CHICKEN BREAST: chicken is the go-to protein source when in a caloric deficit because it is both high in protein and low in calories. Plus it's cheaper than beef. I’m super excited about this new program; I’m serious when I tell y’all that things are getting better...first was just intense crazy exercising or I should say insane 😉 then an easy to understand portion control system and my introduction to clean eating and dumbbells and just when I thought I might’ve lost the battle because my mind was all over the place and crazy hormones decided to act up to make things harder 💥 they did it again!!! I want to stress the importance of measuring out the proper portions!  This is HUGE you guys because if your portions are not "on" these 300 calorie meals can quickly turn into "calorie bombs" without us even knowing it.  Trust me, I use my scale everyday because it is that important!

INSTRUCTIONS: 👇

1⃣ Slice the raw chicken breast into strips and fry in a pan with olive oil. Mix the roasted chicken, lettuce, dressing, and cheese in a bowl. -
2⃣ Cook the chicken, and chop into strips or cubes. Combine all of the ingredients except for the tortilla and lettuce in a large bowl. To make a wrap, spread a half a cup of the mixture on a wrap and top with half a cup of lettuce.

3⃣ Cook asparugus, and spread lemon over it. Mix eggs with goat cheese, and cook on a pan. -
4⃣ Mash banana evenly on bottom of microwave safe dish. Sprinkle with raisins, sugar, and cinnamon. Spread oats on top evenly. Pour juice all over. Apple juice can be used in place of orange juice. Microwave for 2.5 minutes or until oatmeal is tender. Stir. Add water or milk until the oatmeal is the desired consistency. Microwave 30 more seconds or until warm. Enjoy

So a few years back we went through McDonald's to get drinks. I ordered a large Unsweetened Ice Tea. I was ALL IN at this point of my weight loss journey and I was working really hard to stay on point. ⠀

While I had ordered an unsweetened iced tea, I was actually given a sweet tea. And I was PISSED. I was mad at McDonald's. I was mad at the person that poured my drink. I was mad at myself for not checking it before we got down the road so I could have taken it back in.  I was so pissed I started to yell at my husband over it.  I was acting like a toddler who had been given the wrong color of spoon to eat her cereal. I was having a full blown temper tantrum. ⠀

My husband offered to take me to get me another. I quickly blew that idea off because I said they were just going to mess the shit up again. (Props to the hubby for being so kind when I was being such a jerk). ⠀

See I was afraid to even drink it. I legit believed at the time that if I was going to drink that sweet tea I was going to mess up all the progress I had made to date.  And let me tell you I LOVE me some sweet tea. But at the time I was not going to allow myself to lose control and ruin progress over a drink. ⠀
⠀
Logically this shit is absurd. We don't get fat by enjoying one large sweet tea from McDonald's. Emotionally however I was losing my shit, losing control, & believing the thought that I was going to gain so much weight over this drink. ⠀

While I have overcome some of this, I would be lying if I didn't admit these thoughts still creep up to this day.  So what do I do in order to not lose my shit over thoughts like this? I remind myself that I didn't gain all my weight in a day, and I am not going to lose all of my weight in a day. That it takes consistently of habits in order to gain weight and to lose weight. ⠀

I wish I had taken a photo, but when I first tried them on I could barely close them, they gave me a muffin top, and they were super tight on my upper thighs. I put them on today and they fit great! No bulging and I can actually move around in them. I’m trying to hold back on buying new clothes unless I really need them. I don’t want to pay full retail price for something that will be too big for me in a month, so the thrift store has seriously become my bff. I think I’m gonna find a pair of size 10 denim shorts next to try and fit into for Summer. 😄

There are a few ways to calculate your calories, however the most accurate way is the katch mcardle formula.👌

Start off with a 10% caloric deficit (eating 10% less than you burn) and then after 4-6 weeks increase the deficit to 15%.

If you hit a plateau don’t worry. Make sure your calories are in check (weighing food, tracking properly) and that you’re exercising consistently.👍

Weight loss is not linear. It will mess with your mind.🧐

💥Don’t focus on the results, focus on your behaviors. Wake up everyday aiming to complete tasks you can CONTROL!👊

Chicken stir fry. 
The jar, at the end with the white cap, is my homemade bone broth.  Unpictured ingredients are red bell pepper, 1/2 can bamboo shoots and 1/2 can of water chestnuts.  I added peanuts at the end.  The oil with the turned label is a sesame hot chili oil.

🍆Another week has rolled on by and while I have had a few meat dishes, I have still enjoyed a number of amazing vegetarian dishes that have been simply delicious!

🥑This eggplant, zucchini and gnocchi cheesy bake was soo, soo simple and packed in soo much flavour.

🥒What I have found with vegetarian cooking though, is the meals become very carb dependent to bulk up the meals and my taste buds.

🥗As I have said many times in the past, there is nothing wrong with carbs and it is my opinion that they should be apart of everyone’s menu options, however, I have found it to be much more heavy on carbs in a veggie life.

🌽I have definitely had a few “down” days this week when my energy was found wanting and I really craved a BIG FAT JUICY STEAK OR BURGER!

🍅Apart from some fish earlier this week and a little ham, I have have stayed the course though and I am still enjoying the variety of meals we have been having.

🍠I will look to keep it going and see what next week brings, however, I can almost guarantee that next week will include that burger I spoke ok!
