Little chest session from last night: Flat press 5 sets of 5 Half the weight from your heaviest set of 5 and hit 4 sets of max reps with 30s rest. Take a few minutes rest then go 4 more sets at an incline, drop the weight slightly if you reckon you need to. Face pulls are a multi-functional movement, great for muscle building and improving overall posture. They work the back of the shoulder (posterior delts) and hit the upper section of the back. 💪

Heres how to do them:
1️⃣Grab the pully and keep the shoulders back and down. Make sure to reset between each rep to this position if you lose form. 2️⃣Look ahead, pull the rope apart and towards your face in line with your nose. As you pull apart Make a ‘U’ shape with your arms, making sure to relax the wrists and initiate the move from the back. Pause for a second and squeeze your shoulder blades together as if you have a lemon 🍋 there and you want some lemon juice! 3️⃣Most importantly of all, keep the move under constant control. Don't go too heavy too quick as you risk shoulder injury. Start light 8-10reps and really concentrate on the squeeze not just going through the motions. 😊

OLYMPIC LIFTING NOOB 🏋🏼‍♂️✌🏼 This is the 2nd time in my life trying to get a feel for the Snatch and Clean & Jerk.  THE FORM IS ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING - and I know that 😂 These two lifts are extremely technical and will require a lot of work before adding any serious weight. The reason I am starting to learn it is because they are so much fun to do! I miss being completely shit at something in the gym, so this does not only motivate me to become better, but it is also a ton of fun. Throwback the last picture I took at my job before I left last year I was the biggest and strongest so they gave me the water and juice isle to do by myself and you know liquid has no density so it’s heavy I was called the hulk because I would drag those huge water pallets out with a hand jack and walk all around the store with them sometimes I push the pallets on the floor and scratched up the floors on purpose Lolz that’s really where I got all my strength from when I first started working there I was a toothpick once I got paid I joined the gym and started taking supplements to get bigger and bigger and within the first 6 months I went from weighing 130lbs to 200lbs I quickly put that weight on I was so destined to get big I hated being skinny life after that because work gym school no sleep because I was always on the go due to school boy looking at this pic reminds me why I hated that job so much I hated working overnight but I’m grateful and proudly rep it because it was my very first job until I got this one working for transit you really never know where your next meal going to come from so even if you hate your current job or where your currently at if your able to eat a decent meal everyday appreciate that job because it’s where your journey started and can end #gym #gymlife #gains #goals #bodybuilding #powerlifting #throwback #physique #weightlifting #memories #goodvibes #squats #work #workout #workhard #playhard #girl #fit #fitness #girlswholift #instapic #instagood #instagram #inspiration #motivation #lift #goodnight #blessed #nyc #goodmorning

Lesson 123: part two Sunday is for #mealprep  🤤 I really don't like the word "diet", it's ephemeral and eating is an integral part of lifestyle, just like exercise. "They" say that adults need about 2000 calories in a day but that varies widely and for a huge number of reasons. Not only that but your body needs a whole bunch of different nutrients to function properly but also optimally. The best things you can do for yourself is eat balanced. That means all food groups and depending on what you want, figuring out which ones will help the most.
