There is only one Patron Saint of America aka (Al Maghrib Alaqsa) the Honorable Chief Tamanend,🇲🇦 born 1628 in Lenapehoking (present day NJ, NY, PA, DE, MD), lived the life of a #Lenape . #Tamanend translated means “affable”, he was known to be a friend to everyone. “Tamanend” could even be described as an ideology of peace, which the Lenape are traditionally known for spreading. Indians of the Delaware River Valley and beyond knew of Tamanend sometimes pronounced Tammany. His leadership, friendship and peacemaking traits were called upon often by many other tribal nations. Usually at a very old meeting place along the Delaware River called the #Shackamaxon marked by a magnificent tree. Shackamaxon meaning “place where the Chiefs meet.” in 1683 under the Shackamaxon tree William Penn and Tamanend who had become friends met and brokered what would be called the #GreatTreaty .
The Great Treaty would create the “Land of Brotherly Love” – the city of #Philidelphia the inevitable capital of the United States. Chief Tamanend presenting to Penn a wampum belt woven specifically for the occasion signified the Delaware intentions of the treaty. #TheMoorYouKnow 🇲🇦#WeBeenHere#TurtleIsland 🐢
Because we do not want to run the risk of hurting someone’s feelings or being politically “incorrect”, ask yourselves these questions:
1. Is your statement/action correct?
2. Is it a benefit? 3. Am I compromising myself in the situation by not being me?
If you answered Yes to them all (esp#3 ) then you run the risk of merely making sounds like tinkling brass and cymbals. Or in the words of James Brown, “Talking loud and aint saying nothing”. Let your actions which reflect who you are and no matter how its given you do it in the spirit of love and that .... is being REAL! #real#realtalk#sistarcities#dfw#nrh#northrichlandhills#evansga#augustaga#tampa#twins#twinning#flogrown#webeenhere
