Today is day 1 if my first ever water fast. I’m currently 22 hours in.
I’m starting this journey as a way to heal my body. I have stage IV adhesions, hashimotos & PCOS. After 4 years of infertility, 3 surgeries & a ton of doctors visits, I’m ready to try something out of the box! While weight loss isn’t my primary goal, it definitely will be a nice added benefit!
I took some before pictures this morning, weighed in, and started taking some notes about how I’m feeling.
The goal is to do a 7 day water fast. Then do a normal week of Keto & intermittent fasting, and Then do a 21 day fast in June. I would try 30 - but we are headed to the beach July 1st - and I don’t want to try breaking a fast on vacation at the coast!
I know it’s been long since I posted but it’s because I have some news! Now that the morning sickness has finally subsided I’m proud to announce that I’m expecting to go on another water fast 😂
This morning I woke up and the first thing I consumed was an egg roll 🤦🏾♀️ Damn Sam. Your shit went from flat to that before you even got the duck sauce open 😒 Smh.
Welp my digestive system needs a break 🙅🏾♀️and I’ll be going on another water fast on Thursday
Now that my semester is over, I’ll have more time to post about my fitness journey. Hopefully this post helps inspire those of you who think that I don’t have my days. EVERYBODY does. But because fitness is a lifestyle you get back up and start over if you have to! Stay tuned!
Fasting must first be recognized as Nature's way of healing all ills, total fasting makes it possible for Nature in her desperate and continuous effort; to remove and expel the foreign matter and disease producing toxemic wastes from the body thereby correcting the faults of wrong living and improper diet.
Nature alone possesses the true healing power and our body can therefore be designated a "self-curative" organism. For centuries past we have been taught to look upon an illness, "disease", as some deliberate affliction visited upon us whether deserved or not–whereas in truth it is actually Nature's "house-cleaning" effort! When this truism finally becomes recognized, and Nature, the great healer is permitted to carryon, you will note a vast improvement in your health. Suppressing ailments and symptoms of pain through use of sedative and pain relieving drugs must eventually result in the illness becoming chronic.
Voluntary abstinence from food for restoring normal bodily vigor was instinctive with primitive man. Start fasting one or two days, drinking water only, to which a few drops of lemon or lime juice has been added, especially if distilled water is used. At about 4 or 5 in the afternoon, break the fast with a light herbal laxative or enema. You will be shocked at the amount of waste that is now being thrown off almost immediately. This mass of previously uneliminated waste was poisoning your blood stream circulation continuously. This should help convince you that here is the way–and the only way, to health! –Fred Hirsch
Fasting is for everyone! Although it is best to clean up your diet before embarking upon a fast, i.e., the removal of mucus forming, acidic foods like meat, dairy and grains; it is safe for almost anyone to fast for 1-3 days safely. However, it is likely for one fasting with acidic "foods" in their diet to experience much more side effects and detox symptoms, so be advised. The cleaner you are, the easier fasting becomes and it can be quite a pleasant experience when one has properly prepared themself beforehand.

I'm doing a 48h water fast. So far so good. No food cravings what so ever.😌 .
What is water fasting?
--Type of fasting in which you consume only water for a set period of time. So in other words you take in zero calories.
Why am i doing this?
--There are many health benefits connected with water fasting like: weightloss, slow aging, lowers blood pressure and may reduce the risk of serious conditions and so much more! after doing alot of research about it i thought that I'd give it a go. Mainly for weightloss benefits.

Day 4 (Saturday), was the toughest yet, 5 am start, work from 6 till 6, mind was foggy, energy a little low, busy day at work, really didn’t wanna train managed a quick 30 min hiit session for the day
Workout - 1 Minute jump rope, 1 Minute sprinting, 1 Minute crawling with a Minute rest, back to back for 30 mins, just managed it
Day 5 (Sunday),another long work day but felt much better legs a little week that’s it,
Cardio - 21 km cycle around London (not the best place 😜, 1st time back on bike this year
Pull session - tight for time b4 iftar, did as many pull ups as possible for 20 minute straight, strict form wide, neutral, narrow and chin ups, good burn lots of lactic acid build up
1st time training for 5 days in a row since fitness holiday in November, no more excuses, laziness
Now on day 6 feel Pretty high 👍👍😜

Pre-fast numbers. I keep extra measurements for areas I'd like to see either decrease or increase. Ifeel like the extra numbers allow me to see broader change than just your standard bust, waist, hips. Starting this fast at 209 and hope to wrap it up on Friday in one-derland for the first time in 6 years. May 22 is the start of my 21+ day water fast. What better time is there to decide that NOW is the moment to consciously choose to better myself, to finally do the thing, to finally stop waiting. Success is so close, and my decision to start now is bringing me that much closer to my desired outcome: mental clarity and the freedom to feel confident within the body I have. I have researched endlessly and have taken the steps to ensure that I succeed on this fast, I am certain that the only hurdles I have ahead of me is the fight against my mind. It’s more psychological than anything. So I made this account to hold myself accountable by updating my progress everyday and sharing positive inspiring quotes to hopefully help those who are also on this fasting journey. I am also practicing meditation, visualization and mantras to enhance the experience of my fast. Here’s to success!
