Today's sunny and warm and that means it's leg day up one of the many mountain trails just outside Seattle, this time Rattlesnake Ridge.
Well... more like a leisurely, but no complaints about the view!
It is quite possible that spring has arrived in the Pacific Northwest! This is the view of our awesome port on a beautiful spring day! .
*moment of truth: this photo was taken LAST spring....but it doesn't make the view any less awesome.
Life is perpetually busy and full of stressors, seemingly more and more as time passes. I think there is sense in fighting against this inevitably ebb, but also equal sense in accepting this as fact as part of the current human condition. For me, escaping into nature is one way that I can gain perspective on it all. The worries of the world are dwarfed by Earth’s majesty and my stress fades with the dying light. Nothing about my circumstances actually changes, but I feel and react to them differently. It is I that is changed.
A journey of love... Hi, my name is Diana, and this is what I look like when my heart is full! Here I’m surrounded by people I love while we hike mountains filled with forests, glaciers & chipmunks, peeling wild king salmon fresh off the scales, eating sheeps cheese from the market, drinking bloody Mary’s, listening to fun music, wearing clothes made by some favorite local outdoor companies and artists, coming up with inside jokes, doing photography to create forever lasting images, and acting silly while getting a strenuous workout in. I love that I live where I can do all of this at the same time. Thank you Mother Nature for providing us with your magnificent beauty. Remember to LNT! Every little thing must be packed out with you, so don’t forget a bag for recycling. And if you see anything someone else accidentally left behind, pick it up and bring it back with your own recyclables! #LeaveNoTrace#leaveitbetterthanyoufoundit
