Day 6 vibes: A quick stop for some goofin’ around at the ‘goon before traveling back to the States... We were gonna skip this spot for a few reasons, but some soakin’ and steamin’ — and seeing @joezaczyk apply his first mud mask — was quite the treat.
added the blue lagoon to my travel bucket list ✔️ this was our first stop in Iceland straight from the airport and it was the perfect way to relax after an 9 hour flight. we were freezing outside and barely slept on the plane but once we got in the water we forgot about everything... like eating or putting sunblock because the sun still burns even if it’s 30 degrees outside 🙈#wheniniceland @bluelagoonis
Seeing the natural landscapes in Iceland has been a reminder of how small we are in relation to our world. This thought crystallized after seeing this solitary man backed by the mountains while walking along the black sand beach of Sólheimasandur. #perspective
Light in the Gloom.
There were hours where we would be driving under such a thick blanket of clouds it was almost night. But every once in a while there would be a break. Moments of sunlight cast across the land. Then back to darkness.
I haven’t been very active on Instagram lately, and a lot of it is to do with what happened near this mountain at sunrise last September.
While I love blogging, photography and travel, nothing can come close to the excitement of knowing that in under a year I’ll be marrying my best friend @linesofescape. I can remember exactly how nervous I was when I asked Kasha to marry me here, how she refused to let me take a picture of her initially because The tripod was set up just outside the barrier. It’s a memory I’ll treasure for a lifetime. Thank you Iceland for being the perfect backdrop to the start of the next chapter of our lives. 🇮🇸
