silence seems to scare most of us. we tend to fill the moments of nothing with going on our phones, starting random conversations, or trying to avoid them all together. lately i’ve been finding those silent moments in between the busy-ness of life, supperrr comforting. i used to find them awkward and uncomfortable, getting antsy and feeling the need to fill the void! now i embrace these moments, silent drives to work, space between conversations with a loved one, allowing myself to just BE in these moments. ENJOYING the peace, the silence. it’s my meditation that can happen 20x through out the day. not letting my brain go through my to-do list or having random convos in my head, just being present in my body in the moment, right here, right now

I am going to call this the awkward flow because for some reason I could not decide what I wanted to do 😂 Anywho, I hope you all got outside to enjoy the beautiful weather today and this weekend. Spend some time in nature, do your homework outside, go for a walk. It is so refreshing.
Less than 3 months ago, I made a big change in my life. I decided to leave my yoga teaching position where I had been for the last 5.5 years to go to a new teacher training and to grow (I am still a yoga teacher!) 🧡 If you are thinking about making some change in your life to allow for growth, then I have a couple of things to say. 1. Go for it!!! 2. It will be rocky, probably traumatic, very hard and you may just not feel like yourself for awhile. 3. Find support, reach out, whatever it is — connect with people who uplift and inspire you. Build and love your community 4. Things will be awesome and you will flow into that next step in your life in time
We made it to izzy's final post op appointment in Philadelphia! It has been a long 5 months of two surgeries and recoveries, newly discovered health problems and the beginning of another health journey.
We celebrated by exploring the city we so much disliked and found so many gems we'd love to come back and visit 😍❤ what a beautiful day!
This kid is so damn sweet. I’ve been trying to encourage independent play and have been watching him out of the corner of my eye because I know what happens if we make eye contact.
The smile starts in his eyes and travels down to an open mouth grin. Sometimes, if I’m really lucky, I get a squeaky little giggle with it. He drops to his bottom and scurries over for a hug.
To hug and to be hugged.
I could not care less that it totally disrupts my flow. I’ll wrap my arms around his tiny little body and let him jam his slobbery spoon in my mouth any time he wants.
I know that one day I’ll be the one waiting to make eye contact so that I can drop everything and scurry over in hopes of a hug.
I know that one day these moments will become the memories I hold onto for dear life, so I’m doing my best to anchor myself in the Now and love him as hard as I know how.
I know that one day he won’t show me with every ounce of his being just how hard he loves me back.
Theme this week is heart openers because, duh... mine has been cracked open and seems to be pouring out rainbows and unicorns and cheesy posts about my baby boy.
