Fitness changed my life. Discovering weights and strength training has made me a better person overall, but it hasn’t fixed all the problems I thought it would. Two years ago, when I first started lifting, I was in a really bad place. I had obsessive thoughts constantly and was in a really draining mental space. I saw three therapists but had negative experiences with them that pushed me away from seeking help. -
Going to the gym temporarily alleviated the anxieties my obsessive thoughts caused. So that’s why it’s discouraging on days like these, when I’m comparing myself to everyone else, I don’t feel joy at the gym. I feel discouraged when the one place I feel best, feels like the worst place in the world. Didn’t hit my attempted maxes today. Not feeling like I “look” like I work out. Negativity. I know the root of it all, I know the logical reasons behind my temporary setbacks...but sometimes even when something is right in front of you, it still doesn’t make sense.
I’m looking forward with my head up,though. I know this will pass and I’ll keep going back to the gym to train hard. I know that there’s no point in giving up. Just know that if you’re going through something like this too, you’re not alone.💖

Get a load of that! Grains are being wasted on animal agriculture. If we weren’t breeding and exploiting these animals, we could be using wasted resources such as grain and water to help the hungry. There would be a lot less suffering for everyone if we used those resources a little more practically.
Do you think veganism could end world hunger? 🥖🍇🥑
This breaks my heart because no other species has done the kind of damage that we have. We have to take some responsibility for ourselves. Otherwise, our descendants and all other animals will have to suffer from the consequences of our behavior today. @animalsabove
I love seeing signs like this SO MUCH ! I’ve been thinking about how profitable it would be for big companies or fast food joints to make vegan alternatives of their products. It would also help people shift away from consuming the animal products. Do you agree? @veganjenni
